there is that one side quest "the Sound of Music" that becomes unavailable after a certain point in the main story, so it's kinda worth it to explore the Southern point of DUGA early on just a bit (Being a bit vague to avoid major spoilers)

Don't worry. I won't spoil, but there is a LOT of good loot in the late stages of the game. Just keep progressing until you get to Pripyat.

Duga was pain with no base nearby.. At 04:21 there is a stash with Kharod mag.
