I earned all of the Eagle badges except for E-prep and I was able to finish Citizenship in Society in about 2 days roughly a week before I aged out.

To be honest, I just finished all the Eagle merit badges, and I was comparing them to by difficulty to your old list. Then this just came out, and I agree with it SO much more! I created my own list, and your new one matches a lot closer than your old list.

Congrats, Mikey! Great work earning all of your Eagle-required badges. :) It's awesome to hear the new rankings are a lot closer to your experience. Definitely did more digging and listened to a ton of Scout feedback when making this new list, so I'm glad you agree!

Awesome video! I would say for Cit in society, although the requirements aren't tough and are a lot of discussions, completing the merit badge is a little challenging since it's meant to be worked on with a group of others with different ethnicities and cultures. The video is excellent though and I totally agree with it. I've actually just recently completed all my requirements for Eagle, all I have left is my Board Of Review!

Eagle Scout is the highest achievement award in Scouting, which is separate from Cub Scouting and Venturing, like you have in Australia. It's similar to Queen's Scout--errr, King's Scout.

suprisingly, for everyone in my troop we get our cooking merit badge first due to a campout in which we have a cooking competition and it knocks out all the requirements

Everything i love about myself was created/found in scouting, every pinch or scary situation something i learned in scouts saved the day , especially ethical situations... i cant imagine where I'd be if i never did scouts.

Envi Sci: Acid rain is no longer part of the experiments, but you are right with the seven experiments you have to do that it can be difficult/expensive. If you do it on your own, you WILL need the book to know how to set up each experiment. I haven't looked too much into Citizenship/Society. But I think your difficulty rankings are pretty spot-on, especially the relative positions in each tier. Communication I think is pretty easy if you are in early high school or late junior high, because by then you have likely given a speech for class.

Great video Cole! I'm considering joining Boy Scouts very soon. I currently have no idea about Boy Scouts, I definitely want to become a Eagle Scout. Hopefully within two years or so. I'm currently 15. What advice can you give me about being a Boy Scout and hopefully becoming an Eagle Scout in two years or so?
@ColefromScoutSmarts Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Sunny! You should absolutely join Scouting as it'll be the adventure of a lifetime. I actually created an article on The FASTEST Way To Reach Eagle Scout: A 2-Year Timeline (scoutsmarts.com/fastest-path-to-eagle-scout-rank/) so be sure to check that out for a full walkthrough! As far as my advice goes, I suggest attending as many events as possible right from the get-go, trying to finish a few advancement requirements weekly, learning all you can, and staying as enthusiastic as possible. Also, don't be afraid to ask your Scoutmaster or the older Scouts for their guidance. Everyone is happy to support you! Wishing you all the best on your Scouting journey! :)

I got first aid, sustainability, and swimming easy. I am waiting to take my CPR certification class to get the badge, but do you have any tips for the 90 day requirements on family life and Personal management? those are pretty hard to do.
@davesmith96845 ай бұрын
If you are tech savvy the easiest way is to maintain a spreadsheet for personal management and then keep a journal (or diary) for family life. Don't get discouraged! Its just record keeping and planning really. You got this!!

Can you give us a run through of what S, A, B, and C mean? Great analysis.
@MysticMothe Жыл бұрын
C is the best, B is 2nd, A is 3rd, And S is last
@ColefromScoutSmarts Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Alan! So in this video, C-tier is easiest and S-tier is hardest. In terms of time/difficulty to complete, C-tier badges should be easily completed in 1-2 weeks. B-tier badges will be more time-consuming and less based on common knowledge, but can usually be finished in half a month to a month. A-tier badges will take 1-3 months, on average, and have you completing quite a few different types of requirements. S-tier badges will take more than 3 months to earn and tend to require long-term tracking.

@@ColefromScoutSmarts Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering if the letters stood for a particular word. Perhaps S stood for supremely hard . The A, B, C levels are consistent with school grades, I just could not figure out what S stood for.
