Funfact: Boris Yeltsin actually offered German Chancellor Helmut Kohl Kaliningrad since he saw it as useless but Kohl declined since he had no idea what to do with an exclave 500 kilometres away from Berlin. Another Funfact: In the late 1990s and early 2000s, there was a discussion if the states of Brandenburg and Berlin should be merged, to minimise bureaucracy and overall costs. A referendum was held and everything seemed to be all clear. While discussing the future of this new state, many asked what kind of name it should receive. Most of the parliamentarians wanted either „Brandenburg-Berlin“, „Brandenburg-Prussia“ or just „Prussia“ as the new name for the new state. But then the referendum failed after more than 60% of the people in Berlin voted to stay independent.

About the last one. The day Russia left USSR, some several selfproclaimed countries left Russia itself all of them joined back few days (i guess) . The one seen in the last is Tatarstan who was one of states that broke of Russia and got back. As you may or may not know Russia has 85 oblasts with only 46 of them part of Russia without any autonomy. Those Republics that broke of Russia and Tatarstan all now have autonomy. For those that ask about Checnya, i was **specificaly** talking about those states that broke off and united with Russian soon after😒

Actually all of Russian subjects have the same rights. Russia is a symmetric federation, there is no difference in the degree of authonomy between any subjects. So basically "oblasts" and republics have the same status. The only difference is that republics are inhabited by minorities, while oblasts are presumably russian. So in republics you can see some measures devoted to developing native language and culture, while oblasts just don't need them, cause they are inhabited by russians.

A lot of these endings are actually pretty interesting, cool and plausible. I think the Native, Oleda, Roosevelt, Kaliningrad and Danzig endings are most I'd like to see in action. Awesome work

Kaliningrad Ending could be very beneficial for this land and entire Europe. As a Pole, I would feel safer while not having borders with Putinist Rusia And well, Republic of Kaliningrad could become a very interesting place. Possibly a better Russia, free and democratic, maybe even a part of EU having positive relations with Western and Central Europe. In some way similar to Taiwan. Maybe East Prussian culture would be restored to some extent. Am I the only person for whom it sounds like a really good idea? Of course it would have been even better if entire East Prussia had remained in Germany. But this version is really good too

Neutral Ending: Stalin annexed East Prussia and Danzig into the Prussian Soviet Socialist Republic and relocated Volga Germans and returned refugees to increase the population of the SSR. He repressed Germanic culture fearing nationalism but after he died German culture was free to be practiced. Prussia was the First to leave the USSR in 1990 and soon after joined the EU and NATO and is quickly rebuilding from its years under Nazi Germany and the USSR.
