Now there's a Kelvin timeline Miranda? That does it... I'm traveling back before the supernova that destroyed Romulus and warning Vulcan ahead of time. 😀 Maybe Spock will succeed this time and the Narada will not be thrown back in time. But yes, the Miranda class (like most Kelvin ships) was built with more power (offensive and defensive) than the prime universe. The Narada scared us to death. I fight involving the Reliant wouldn't be complete without this quote. THIS IS SETI ALPHA 5!😄 Now turn over all information on the Genesis device. That was it... Captain Garrett. I thought that the Ambassador class would be enough. It took a pounding, but nothing damage control couldn't handle.

That actually matches what we've seen so far, in Kelvin Timeline fights. Their ships seem to be a generation ahead of their mainline counterparts, mostly in the weapons and shields. So it would take a Mainline Ambassador, to take out a Kelvin Movie Era starship.

Honestly, these Kelvin timeline ships seem too OP for what they are. We have 0 evidence that SF got any useful data from the shuttles that escaped the Kelvin (aka, no guarantee their sensors would get any useful data on Nero's ship because its possible the sensor scans were blocked). Kelvin timeline SF may have decided to build larger ships overall, which would allow them to stuff more powerful reactors in yes, but I don't think they'd be up to early 24th century levels as a result. Maybe a decade or two at most ahead of the Prime universe.

We usually don't have evidence in Star Trek at all in general. Though there was at least ambassador Spock from the Prime timeline who cooperated for a longer time with his younger self. Since he was a very good science officer and also had a lot of engineering knowledge, it's completely plausible that he transferred a lot of the 24th century knowledge to his younger self and others. Plus Starfleet did probably push a lot more into armor and weapon research after they were hit by such a deadly opponent. Having the Kelvin timeline ships comparable to early 24th century ships just makes sense in that regard.

@@deksroning125 I agree. Kelvin Reliant shouldn't be able to defeat an Excelsior. Actually I am of the opinion that in some respects, the Kelvin timeline is not as advanced as the prime timeline. Particularly, I point to shields and the fact they don't seem to work. When Kelvin engaged Narada, the torps were puncturing the hull in the first salvo. When Enterprise engaged Narada over a Vulcan, bearing in mind the JJ Connie is supposed to be more powerful than the TOS Connie, first torpedo strike punctured the hull and shields seemed to do bugger all. Then in Into Darkness, Vengeance's phasers did immediate hull damage to Enterprise although we don't know for certain the shields were up as Enterprise was "at warp". In TOS, we see Enterprise's shields tank shots from the planet killer Doomsday weapon, granted it wasn't healthy but the shields held. We also see the TOS Enterprise take a hit from a Romulan plasma torpedo without sustaining hull penetration damage (said plasma torp could destroy entire neutral zone outposts). I think most of the power from the Kelvin timeline comes from just making things bigger. The JJ Connie is somehow supposed to be bigger than Galaxy or Sovereign. That's a lot of internal volume to just pack with crappy 23rd century reactors. It might not be a case of more advanced, just a case of more.

@@jonasklose6472 No evidence that Spock did anything more than share his knowledge of TW beaming solution to younger Scotty (which oddly enough is never used in the Prime timeline it seems). Its possible that SF might push for more armour and weapons R&D... BUT, the Prime timeline was also fraught with all kinds of problems too, and SF never really did anything beyond instil some certain preparations that marginally increased their overall effectiveness... (this is just the writers being complete morons btw so keep things mostly as they are for story telling purposes and not changing stuff too much). But either way, if the SF of prime timeline hadn't really done more than token changes, I doubt the Kelvin timeline would have either (the Prime timeline SF is not above making 'warships' to adjust to the IMMEDIATE situation and then go back to the status quo... the Defiant is a good example).

​@@deksroning125in Kelvin lore apparently they got a pice of nero's ship from when the Kelvin crashed into it and star fleet went their end brought it back and reengineered.The tech finding out that nero's ship was a romulan cargo ship from sometime in 25th century, and it was modified with Borg technology and on how richard dystrom use his computer diatonic pr whatever you call it to hack into it, and it was able to receive technology about trans warp drive computers and reengineering, here's some of the boarg technology that's at least what they explained on why the Kelvin ships look different and are bigger. It's because they use technology that they stolen from a romneyland ship being Niros or how ever you say his name and they got technology from it that's why, in the kelvin universe when they go to Vulcan it only takes a few minutes while in other shows it takes longer so yeah in the Kelvin universe voyager never happend

That was a fun video, I've always LOVED the Miranda class vessel it just looks SO cool... kinda like to think of it as the predecessor to the Akira with the shape and feel of it. Would be interesting to see how many NX ships it would take to beat it... maybe a mix of NX & NX-Refits. Been loving the videos even went and reinstalled Bridge Commander myself. Tho having a bit of an issue getting to go full screen at modern resolutions, in window mode it works but would be nice to be fullscreen

So, these are user made Kelvin tech gawd mode refits. You might have tried targeting their shield generators. Remember, the Narada was from the future and thus post-Narada Kelvin starfleet ships were using post-TNG tech in their TOS era.

Ohhh good video idea actually, kelvin timeline reliant? Considering the jj prise should be comparable if not greater than the galaxy class, it should be very strong (assuming the prime version was a MENACE for the Refit). It should clear everything up to the galaxy with ease. The ambassador which beat it here, would stand no chance in reality, it’s exactly 70% as strong as the pre dominion war enterprise D. But considering the deep scans of the Narada (which even BEFORE it’s Borg tech tal Shiar amp, was able to casually outspeed and threaten the enterprise E), the reliant should casually trounce

I'm glad that the Ambassador got some love in this. I wonder if a full spread would've been useful on the opening volley, having 5 photons land at the same time will hurt even one of JJs magic ships. The Kelvin Reliant isn't as much of an eyesore as the Kelvin Connie, only real difference I can see is with the weapon roll bar and the nacelles being a bit fatter. But seriously, doesn't the Kelvin timeline believe in reload timers?

That Miranda doesn't seem very Kelvin-y. The Reliant had Enterprise Refit/A style nacelles and we know what the Enterprise A nacelles look like in the Kelvin timeline. You'd expect the nacelles of a Miranda from that timeline to be rounder with the big blue Bussard collectors on the front, with most sweeping lines to the rest of the ship.

All the Kelvin ships are a bit OP. In universe they are about 35 years ahead. But the mods always require the Enterprise C or Galaxy Class to put them down.

I'm pretty sure that the last time you played Kelvin Reliant it could fire 6 torpedos aft, with a reload time of several seconds. AI doesn't seem to take full advantage, but still.

The Kelvin Reliant doesn't seem the have the same phaser emplacements that the Kelvin Constitution has. Since the Miranda class is supposed to be the Constitution classes Nebula class, it should at least have the same saucer section phaser emplacements. The Kelvin Reliant also doesn't seem to have the mega phasers that its Prime universe had, so it's able to shoot more torpedoes but seems under powered in the phaser department.

Starfleet had the scans of the Narada during a ten minute slaughter. These scans ostensibly advanced Starfleet technology over a hundred years. The Klingons had it in their possession for 25 years. Full on hands on possession. Then, the Narada destroyed 47 Warbirds. So, 1) JJ's Klingons are incompetent, 2) The Narada was stupidly overpowered even for 2387 standards, 3) yet JJ's Starfleet ships are oddly overpowered against prime-timeline... the whole thing's a mess and I'm tired of Disney and Hollywood hacks.

You should have been able to beat it with the B but in almost all your battles you make the same mistakes you never pay proper attention to your shield status and are so obsessed with turning to get the rear torpedoes you pay no heed to if that is a sensible idea at the time. You are almost constantly taking damage you needn't take due to poor positional management and constantly presenting your weakest shield to the enemy and simply not reading the battle well. Your videos are entertaining but you are actually really bad at the game and your fighting style is woeful at best.
