I'll always have a soft spot for this game. It's always nice to have a game that lets you break established conventions of the universe, namely, Spider-Man becoming bad. To be honest, the bad choices in this game come off as the break Peter should have had. He got the women, got the money, got the power... It's almost as though they made the dark side a little TOO enticing in this game.

The only bad thing is, after completing the story and maybe playing it again a few more times, it gets boring. And it's really sad because the has nice play style and all but there isn't more. The main game and then the secret New Game+ mode, that's just it. The only thing that made me (and probably some others) play more is that the game got many skin mods that some people may not know. It's interesting to play the game with different looks. Like experience it as Carnage.

You can hear the difference in black cats' voice from when she was normal to when she got infected...symbiote BC's got a darker tone, but the symbiote doesn't begin to affect immediately... At the moment she got infected, she still sounds normal... But towards the end, you can hear that dark tone.

@ahmet onaç basically it's not bad it's just she manipulated him into doing it because if you do the good choice Peter knows she is gonna be ok regardless and Felicia says "he really loves you" to MJ But at the bad ending since well venom died Peter was able to control the symbiotes because venom's alpha symbiote got on Peter in the beginning of the game but since pete gave some to Felicia she became Peter's queen and now has control over him So that's why she said "this whole city could be yours" then gives it to him at the end because that's her manipulating him

It's awesome to see the level of detail and love put into such an old game. You can see Peter's voice changing from friendly to menacing every time he switches into the symbiote suit. Easily one of my favorite Spider-Man games to date

OK. 3 Things 1: Why are people complaining about the EVIL route? I mean, Peter Parker isn't spidey- the symbioye is. It's taken full control and critics and gamers are saying it's NOT LIKE PETER PARKER. 2: Everyone says how the only EVIL choice they can stand is choosing black cat over MJ but 2 other EVIL choices are reasonble. Hey guys a cool tip is if you beat the game following the black path then if you continue the AutoSaved and roll the credits it will bring you back to menu and if u do this 2 or 3 times you will notice that your playing time extends and you start the game over keeping you experience and abilities to both suits making it a lot of fun to replay especially being maxed out early game. Also if its your first play through make sure to do all the optional side quests and a bunch of just random fights and save your Experience points as this makes your second run at the game (assuming you followed my first tip above) much easier because you are maxed out and if you are care enough go for the spider tokens as this makes your game a lot easier by increasing your health and special attacks, as well as increase swing speed so you can traverse New York better (Sorry for the long post :D).

My friend, I can tell you that this was a very good game. The grapichs aren't bad since this was released back in 2008. The only REAL problem is that after finishing the game, there isn't much more. You can play again with the New Game+ mode but it gets a bit boring after a while. The game is strong with skin mods on PC though. (Wait, why did I mention modding when there is nothing related to modding here?)

Love that the using your darkness to take out who you perceive as the bad guy just causes the cycle to go on an on. Wolverine at the end is just like Peter at the start. Choosing to use the symbiote to take out Venom did take Venom out, but just set Spider-Man to be the bad guy. Now Wolverine is going to do the exact same, and he will be crowned as the prince of darkness. It's s brilliant game that showcases the superego and id.

agree, for a remake they should make it more obvious what will happen. but they also should make the hero path better. i havnt played this so idk what the hero path had but i imagine its just "normal spiderman or different spiderman" and no one will want to be the normal spiderman. so if they do a remake they should do it so that the evil spiderman has the cool part, being extra strong, aggressive, killing enemies. but the hero path should get benefits of allies to help you in fights. take away the symbiote empire because that makes the bad path -too cool- no one would ever pick anything else.

Let's see. The "Good ending": Stay with a girlfriend that don't obey you and thinks she can boss you around, scream with you and don't respect your authority. You saved the city countless times and received no reward for it. The " Bad ending": Stop letting everyone boss you around, put them in their place, show your superiority, dominate everyone, stay with a girl that is completely submissive to you and will do whatever you want, literally. Yeah, the Bad ending is actually the Good ending.

Honestly, after considering most perspectives, I found the most logical scenario for Web of Shadows. This is just my opinion. Keep in mind that the choices in Web of Shadows are not based on general decisions but rather on Peter's emotions at the moment. There are 9 choices in the game, and I will discuss all of them. Gang War Peter, after being warned by MJ, doesn’t use the symbiote he got from Venom and starts the Gang War mission with the red suit. There’s no situation where the symbiote is influencing him, and he just focuses on completing the mission and stopping the gang war (Red Path). Black Cat Choice Right after the gang war, Peter encounters Black Cat at Kingpin’s place and chases her to find out why she’s working for Kingpin. During the boss fight, Black Cat tries to flirt with Peter (she even has a kissing move! ), but since Peter isn’t under the influence of the symbiote, he just mocks her and defeats her. Then, he goes to talk to her. He expresses his anger at her for working for Kingpin. Black Cat responds, “I got excited when I saw you. I did it so you'd realize we’re meant for each other.” Peter replies, “I didn’t know you still had feelings for me.” Black Cat says, “I still love you. Look at us-we’re wearing these silly masks and hiding from each other.” Peter becomes confused and continues listening. Then, Black Cat makes a move, kissing Peter and trying to manipulate him, saying, “Be with me, we can be whatever we want, free from responsibility. We can have fun. You like fun, don’t you?” As she speaks, she gets closer to Peter, showing her allure. At this decision point, Peter was completely broken. Without the symbiote inside him, Peter would have definitely rejected this offer. But because of the symbiote and MJ's thoughts about it, Peter sees Black Cat as an opportunity, and the symbiote influences him (Black Path). Vulture Choice After Black Cat influences Peter, encouraging his thoughts about the suit, Peter starts wearing the black suit again. During the Vulture fight, he’s wearing the black suit, and for the reasons mentioned earlier, he falls back under the symbiote's influence (Black Path). Wolverine Ending If Peter sticks with the red suit 100%, Wolverine becomes his ally, and the symbiote doesn’t have much influence on him (Red Path). Rykers Island Trip It doesn’t make sense for Peter to team up with Vulture right after they’ve fought, for the same reason (Red Path). Rhino Choice While both options are similar, it doesn’t make sense for Peter to ally with Rhino at that point in time (Red Path). Symbiote Electro Choice Peter continues wearing the black suit. In this choice, Peter’s frustration with constantly fighting symbiotes and Electro’s inability to resist this power could reasonably lead to him making an aggressive decision (Black Path). Symbiote Wolverine Choice Peter’s connection with the black suit deepens, and it’s implied in the dialogue between MJ and Luke that Peter is under the symbiote's influence. For this reason, it makes sense for him to choose the black path (Black Path). Symbiote Black Cat Due to the promise Peter made to MJ, he holds back and doesn’t wear the black suit. However, as seen in the opening scene of the game, Peter is forced to wear the black suit. During this time, he learns that Black Cat has also turned into a symbiote. Peter, without holding back, fights her under the symbiote’s influence, and Black Cat is severely injured. In this choice, Peter, influenced by the symbiote, gives a piece of the symbiote to Black Cat (Black Path). Symbiote Vulture Battle After giving the symbiote to Black Cat, Peter’s bond with the symbiote deepens further, making it harder for him to break free. Vulture's words, "Embrace the darkness," fully lead Peter to be consumed by the symbiote (Black Path). Venom Battle With Vulture's help, Peter goes to the SHIELD base where Venom is being held. This shows that Peter is now working with his enemies, essentially switching sides. He finishes off Venom (Black Path). And Black Ending
