Playing GB3 for the first time in 2023 and this video has taught me one thing: I've gotta start farming EX Actions.

@@GLEclipseGaming Yeah, probably! I will ask, though - do transformation EX Actions like Trans-Am have their usage restriction removed when they're fully leveled? I ask because in part 2, when you demo'd Trans-Am, you had a GN drive equipped.

@@MaybeNotARobot once mastered you can use any transformation with any part. Trans-am is unique though in that if you use parts with the twin drive system you turn green instead of red and you disappear when you boost.

Can I just say: I LOVE that Ghost Edge and Phantom Edge are compatible at once. That's some great detail on their part. Not to mention totally broken on a melee suit.

Yeah it's cool how they also rotate in different directions to. great techniques if your always in the enemies face or if your a grappler. I use the Fire looking one on Lucifer and use it with the MaganoIkutachi, great combination.

@@mega_chair9507 if you keep using an ex action it'll eventually be usable without restrictions. You wont need the specific weapon type or body part to be able to use it.

Oh yeah for sure. I spent around 2 and a half hours just making those info boxes on the side in Adobe Photoshop. I took screenshots of all the info boxes in game and cut em all out all neat. I'd already unlocked all the EX-actions anyway but yeah recording em all took quite a bit of time. it's why the next Demonstration video won't be till Friday but I think it was worth it.

absolutely was worth it. hey don't forget to take it easy with these videos. i think they're great, and i'm frankly amazed how you can keep the quality and consistency going. might wanna think about releasing them with a greater lag between videos; could give yourself more breathing room and keep the love alive lol. number of subscribers seem to be growing at a fair pace, and i'm pretty sure its the quality of your stuff that keeps them coming. (which unfortunately also means the requests will keep coming too haha)

I have a question what's the best way to level up your EX actions so the you star in proficiency and get usage restriction unlocked. Cause it seems like it is taking so long to master my EX actions like Trans-AM and the Zero System?

For transformations you wanna make sure your not using anything to extend how long it lasts a proficiency is based on how many times you use it rather than for how long. Also try activating them just before entering another area so that it's mostly charged when you get there. For other EX's just use parts that boost your EX gauge when Hitting/Breaking/killing and spam emails when you get them.

The SD ex actions are unlocked by having that SD in your party long enough to max it out. You may need to max out the first ex action to unlock its evolved form. Honestly cannot remember exactly.

great video =D i know this a newbie question but where did you grind to level up your EX actions or is it the Mr Gunpla mission is the way to go?

I guess Mr Gunpla's stage would be the way to go, i did most of em just playing the game. you really want to build a suit that builds EX fast, those 6 Tube missile Builder Parts and Irradiation weapons are great at getting meter up. also if you have a suit that can easily maintain Awakening then you can quite easily spam the EX actions during it as it makes everything regenerate faster. it still took a few hours for me to max em all though. just gotta keep grinding.

I'm currently doing this too but doing the Mr. Gunpla fight not on extreme is the way to go. However don't go awakening and he will get to a point where he cant take any more damage until you awaken. So you can just sit there and do ex actions as soon as you get them instead of doing the mission over and over again

its a really annoying grind though do you have any reccomendations for suit, weapons and option equips? cause i cant seem to bring up the gauge all that fast for a good amount of them but its most likely my suit as i am using a funnel build and adding the 6 missile pod doesnt seem to do much for me because its recharge time is so long

You could try getting some abilities that increase you Awakening gauge too. when you activate your Assault Awakening, everything recharges faster.

There are a few Abilites that will help build meter better Increase EX Guage when Attack hits Parts Break: EX Charge Enemy Kill: EX Charge Takedown Kill: EX Charge Enemy Kill by an EX Action: EX Charge There are also certain types of weapons that build meter well Ranged weapons with Irradiation Action Fast muti hitting weapons like Double Sabers, Twinblades and Whips 6-Tube Missile Pod builder parts are amazing for building meter any mixture of all of these will really help build your EX meter fast.

so I have a question not regarding any of this but I don't know where else to put it. you know those little shield thingies that pop up on the screen saying if you did something really fancy for ace points, there's one called undown or undowned but for the life of me I can't figure out what that one would mean, can you explain it please.

I honestly don't know, maybe it pops up when you defeat a number of enemies without losing all your health.

Great video. I have a question though. How did you get Chokyu Haow Den-eidan's icon to turn yellow? I know I mastered the ability but it's icon is still purple.

I think it turns yellow when you're not using the parts that contain the EX action. are you still using a Burning Gundam or Master Gundam Body?

I noticed with skills that at first only certain mobile suits but then later on if master it, the ability does become unlocked for some other suits and weapon types. So I'm kind of working toward unlock some of these abilities and hope can use some of them for my Gouf in future. ^^

you're correct, once a skill is mastered on a part that has an EX action you'll be able to use it on any combination of parts

I'm not sure exactly how you unlock Ground Shaker, Earth Shaker, Boost Tackle and Blast Tackle, but once you have maxed out a Skills proficiency you'll be able to use it with any parts.

What are the best ex actions in general in your opinion?

Freezing Bullets The Machine Gun EX Action is really good, has great tracking, lowers enemy defences, puts them in a shocked state and does decent damage Bullet Orbit The Machine Gun EX Action and Phantom Edge The Double Saber EX Action are great for chipping away at enemies while you're attacking them close range Lightning Thrust the Lance EX Action covers ground pretty fast, has decent tracking, slows enemies caught in the shockwave down and does great damage Cyclone Pile Driver The Claw EX Action does huge damage, is unblockable, will remove all parts and also looks pretty cool Cyclone Axe the Axe EX Action, has a vacuum like effect, fast activation in the air and does great damage, pretty decent combo ender Tomahawk Hurricane The Axe EX Action has amazing power, great on Strong Units and bosses, fairly good on grunts though it might last a bit to long when there is no one left alive Wheel Strike (And to a lesser extent Strike Stream) the 2 Handed EX Action, fast activation and if last hit connects enemies lose all their parts, Strike Stream can be hard to connect with the final hit Dead End Impact the 2 Handed EX Action, Start up is a little slow but it has a larger hitbox than it appears, does huge damage, Removes all parts and can be used as a takedown move at the same time (Having Stagger and Knockback resistance really helps) Spiral Bind the Whip EX Action has huge surrounding range, fast activation, stuns everyone in the vicinity, pretty good desperation move (Not as strong as Vortex Charge but the final hit of it misses quite often and takes longer to charge) Void Point & Gravity Sphere The Whip EX Action, Create a black hole that sucks in enemies, fairly decent damage and restrains enemies. Void point is better IMO but weaker, charges much much faster and can be combined with much more powerful ex actions to hit the multiple trapped enemies at once Shining/Burning/Darkness Finger, Unblockable, high damaging attacks, work great as combo enders and often feature high Prominance damage causing huge damage over a short time Large Beam Saber from Full Armor Gundam, Much larger range than appears, crazy fast activation speed and huge damage Fortress Four Blaster from AGE-3 Fortress, get in an enemies face and fire this, huge damage, works great on PG's Super DRAGOON Transformation from Strike Freedom, like every other transformation, full you have 8 funnels that fly around and damage enemies (You don't even need Strike Freedom Backpack) SD Gundam EX Actions (I forget which ones give you these) Hien Tatsumakigaeshi, you swing your weapon and a fiery Tornado comes of at great speed, Hits hard and damage over time is ridiculously fast Seiha Ryuoh Slash, Fire a paralysing beam incredibly fast before plowing through the enemy, fairly good damage, paralyses enemy for follow up damage and puts you right next to them DLC Exclusives Flash Blade from Knight Superior Dragon SD Gundam, Unblockable, Lowers enemies defence, does Prominence damage Rose Hurricane from Rose Gundam, summons a bunch of funnels to paralyse whoever you are locked onto, also does damage over time, if the enemy cannot move it cannot hurt you, doesn't work on PG's

I think you may need to beat that one SD stage on newtype to unlock the last 3 SD's then max their gauge to unlock the skills.

Ah my mistake, you just have to keep using the ex action till you master it, then you won't need to be using the relevant weapon/body part to use the ex actions.

Oh, so that means if I master a Weapon Ex-Skill, say Strike Stream (Two Handed Sword attack) I can then start using it even if I don't use a Two handed Sword, like for example a one Handed Sword or Dual Swords instead? Interesting... does that also count for the Attacks that you get by Specific Armor, Mega Sonic Cannon, that you can use it even without Gundam Visargo Body? That is very interesting!

That is correct, master an EX skill and you can use it with anything.

You have to change the sd gundam to the yami shogun variant and you also need to use that specific variant for a certain amount of time just like what you would do to unlock some of the ex actions in the video

It's an EX action tied either to the arms or legs of the build burning gundam (I forget which part) Just equip the part and you can select the EX action, then keep using the EX action to master it, it'll then be usable with any parts.

It's a twinblade EX action, you'll need to max out the other trailblazer EX actions.
