1:57 These sounds are not in any Windows 2000 folders. To be honest a Dutch person named Marco Van Hirtum made these sounds, the same person made a Windows 2000-styled theme which uses these sounds. Also I just noticed something about the fake Windows Server 2003 startup sound, it sounds like the music from the idents of Kanal D, a TV channel in Turkey!

Windows NT 5.0 Actually had 2 fake shutdown sounds, one of which was included in this video which was actually the Windows 2000 Build 1946-1969 Startup Sound, the other fake shutdown sound was the NT 5.0 Startup sound in reverse.

The faked Windows 2000 beta 3 sounds are from a custom Windows 9x desktop theme from Themeworld. The custom Windows 2000 beta 3 desktop theme for Windows 9x feels more like "Windows 2000 but it could've been a completely different operating system". (1:56)

There’s some windows oses that worth mentioning Windows 10x: many people assume that windows 10x uses this sound: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2rUeGqfrbirhrMsi=UB-fr1KMKLxoC_e3, in reality it still uses the log on.wav sound and no shutdown, that is just windows 10x boot animation Windows server 2022: although many people assumed it uses the windows 11 startup sound, it still uses the windows 7 startup sound. However, windows server 2022 has a broken startup sound, no matter if its enabled or not, it wont play, so technically windows server 2022 has no startup nor shutdown sound
