It now includes the correct info about Longhorn sounds, more fake sounds and more!

AND, Windows Vista Build 5568 has some misinformation too, some say the startup is the Vista Logon sound but that is used as a logon sound, not the startup, as that used Windows XP sounds until Build 5840.16384.

Also, NT 4.0 beta 1 logo, NT 4.0 RTM sounds. NT 4.0 used the 3.1 sounds up until Beta 2 Edit: Conversely, NT 4.0 beta 2 logo, 3.1 sounds. By Beta 2, NT 4.0 already had its final sounds.

Thanks for debunking this. For years I’ve always wondered what the sources for these sounds were since they sounded pretty neat.(especially longhorn). I didn’t know those were actually from a Samsung program for windows (theme manager). Same for the voice recognition thing. Also, the fake sounds for 3.0 being sped up 95 sounds is kinda funny.

I was so boggled why did post to pre-Reset Longhorn/Vista builds had such elegant sounds and then came with the RTM sounds until I learned that Whistler just used 2000 sounds. Then that also translates to pre or post-Reset Longhorn/Vista using XP sounds until a blend of Vista RTM sounds were used (Like Vista's logoff used as the shutdown sound introduced in Build 5469).

Actually, it does use the windows vista startup sound. You don't even need Winaero Tweaker to enable it. You can literally enable it with no programs at all. You just need to go to the sound properties dialogue in the control panel and tick the box that says to play windows startup sound.

its because you need to enable it by right clicking volume on taskbar, clicking sounds and enabling Windows startup sound, from that point you can test it and startup will play the same startup sound as Vista and 7
