Personally, I think the Nashrah battle belongs in A tier. Not because it’s necessarily a good fight (it isn’t really even a fight to begin with), but because I feel like it does a perfect job of instilling terror into new players. The music, the buildup to the fight, the Darkness slowly approaching, and Nashrah’s taunting all work together perfectly to make you start panicking. It drives home the feeling of the game perfectly. My ONLY gripe with the battle is that you can run away from it. Imo, it would be better if you couldn’t escape at all. The game already makes it clear that you’re making a mistake when you investigate the bodies in the flesh pit, so I feel like an inescapable death would be a suitable punishment. It’d make it the perfect example of a “fuck around find out” fight.

Something about the Human Hydra that I think is worth moving it up to at least C tier for is the fact that it teaches new players to throw away the notion that interactions which take resources will reward you accordingly. The recently acquired girl being eaten and unexpectedly yielding no reward sets a tone for many battles and situations across the rest of the game while simultaneously teaching players that they’ll need to be more selective and thoughtful of where they apply said resources. All conveniently located right at the beginning of the game.

Elite Guard (FH) vs Elite Trooper (FH:T) I genuinely wonder who would win. Elite Troopers feel much easier as a player to defeat, but i wonder how an Elite Guard would fare against its shield defense.

​@@krazyivan9733 Guard definitely has the strength advantage but not by much considering they are heavily implied to be marriages. Assuming we're using all equipment it probably depends on if Guard uses mad rush, cleaver is going to have a hard time getting past the shield and armor and the rifle is going to mess up the guard if he's hitting critical areas or at least aiming center mass even given the added bulk. Also obviously depends on distance because it's character without gun vs character with one

21:43 The soundtrack change for formidable opponents is a really good design choice, it's a cool way of warning the player that if you don't think up the correct strategy you are like 90% chance about to game over. I didn't realize this is probably the fastest way you can hear this music. It's definitely where I first heard it and you know I totally survived and didn't game over... Yup. It's a good learning experience. Once I later learned that you literally cannot win the fight, I felt so betrayed.

I feel like I’ve come a long way since I first started watching this channel. Recently did an Enki run and almost gave it up because I thought my loot was unlucky as of making it to the prison area. Had a lightbulb moment and realized Scroll of the general + ring of wraiths(that I initially dismissed as useless) would let me clap the guards. I love that after so many hours I discovered such a wacky tech for surviving with such random loot. Guard deserves the S for how much the early game revolves around the player finding a solution for them.

Maybe it's because I started with D'arce and took the long sword, but I found the Guards extremely easy. Chop off the sword arm, Guard on turn 2, cut the stinger, cut the legs, cut head. I rarely take any damage

The fist impression with the jagged jaw's scary me so much more than any other interactions in the game, that its surprising to me how to grogoroth its like "wow what a sick design, so cool" and the jagged jaw's its like "how a dog face can be so damn scarier" (plus when i show the game to my brother after get a heart attack and get bitten up by them very sever time he swear never play again...he has ended termina and still have't touched funger 1 ) Anyway GREAT VIDEO as always!!!!!!!!1

Frapollo I might love you. I really enjoy your content and I have never even played Fear and Hunger, I only vaguely heard about it. But the way you present stuff and the way you're passionate about the game itself, it just lures me in as I watch myself clicking a next video on your channel. I also adore the way you say "FEAR AND HUNGER" with your accent, that's your catch phrase in my opinion. Enough of the gae love stuff xD. Anyway, you've inspired me to try and play myself, I'm buying it right now, but as I know pretty much everything about Fear and Hunger 1, I'll buy Termina and enjoy it myself. That is a huge deal, as I really don't play singleplayer games often, so wish me luck :).

Trotour was my first death in the game, i went in completely blind 100% and after loosing my arm in my first fight with a Guard I got the cutscene with him, I showed myself and said i was interested and he knocked me out and cut me to pieces. It was here I really started to understand the game, that it does not apply by casual rules, that doing stupid things and trusting bad decisions wasnt just inconvenient, it was game ending. To have my whits about me and take it seriously and with the caution that it requires. Thats just my experince with him though, lovely video

also to be a stickler for the Plague attack from Isayah, i think it doing nothing is exactly the point, he gives you THE PLAGUE, the Black Death, the fact that it is incurable and by that one second of contact you get it. It wont kill you now, or a day from now, but for an absolute certain your days are numbered shorter than you could imagine is an amazing depiction to make inside a players mind

I disagree on the spider. Especially on a first playthrough, the talk option is alwaus a bit daunting as it may take away a crucial turn for survival. And so far, insects probably weren't your friend and couldnt talk anyway so talking to it wouldnt be the first thing that comes to mind. Discovering that i think is really neat!

It would honestly be pretty good, the limbloss combined with fire damage enables the usage of stuff like hard leather armor or even a water vial to heal burn. On the spot I'd say a B tier
