Thanks so much! I'm glad you included the wrestling and boxing games this is very helpful! I counted about 110 American released games. So far I physically own 71 out of 110 i have a long way to go i had no idea so many PS1 fighting games existed. And forget about collecting the japanese games i'm gonna need the win the lottery for that. (I did download all of them tho lol). It was nice to learn mortal kombat 2 was released for PS1 i had no idea. it's really expensive too.

After 20 years of searching I came Here and found Kensie sacred first. Me and my dad beat that game with every character and you’d unlock a alternate for who you beat it with . Man so many times looking for this game I’m so happy I found it. All I could remember why the second to last boss and the last boss both fought in the same location and one has a suit.

Holy fuck thanks for this list! I was looking for a fighting game I played with a friend in my childhood. I thought it was a 2d fighting game because I remembered the 2d character arts in the menus, but it was actually "kickboxing"! Couldn't find the game, but it was because I was looking for 2d fighting games and not 3d! Now I can play that game again :D

Trying my luck here, as others seem to have found the help they needed. I hope you can help me out, too. I've been trying to find out a specific game's title for ages now. It's a 2d sprite fighting game that was out on PS1, but I only vaguely remember that there was a boy and a girl in traditional chinese-ish clothing with 'skunk-striped' hair who could use Ki-balls (siblings or something using a very similar style, as far as I recall), and a monk wearing a wide chinese style straw hat who could use an attack sending out toads and if you got hit, there was lightning or electricity or something. In the monk's end card, you saw him entertaining his son in the bathtub by creating a miniature waterhose. Sadly, that is all I remember. I know finding this just based on this is hard, but I'd be this close to believing I made this whole game up if my wallet hadn't been stolen while playing the game at a store back in the late 90's (kinda sticks with you). Any help at all would be very much appreciated.

I don't know if you found it already but I'm pretty sure based on what you are describing, the game you are thinking of is Real Bout Fatal Fury. I think you will remember the game once you see the character select screen. Hope this helped.

This is a long shot but I'm gonna try my luck here but I only remember one character from the game and nothing else really, fighting game from ps1, I remember it had a good graphics for it's time meaning it was not cartoonish or pixel art and was 3d the character I remember was tall guy grey hair mostly with long range kick moves, he has pony tail, shorts and naked upper body, hand and leg wraps with muay tahi stance

still can't find the one im looking for :( barley remember it. you had to fight left to right through stages, think there was little annoying loot goblins at time or something holding a bag. would start in forest ish and make way through to a city? was 2d think it was multiplayer. Just remember killing enemies, it scrolling right, different creatures you'd have to kill along the way. i think you got to pick between a couple different classes? but don't remember :((

Not ALL fighting games are included here sadly. Apart from that last game at the end, you didn't include Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger for the PS1 which used the same game engine as Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger. You also include a bunch of Beyblade games, which I don't know if they should be considered 'fighting' games or not. True it's a battle between spinning tops, but still?

So why wasn't "Hyakujuu Sentai GaoRanger" included because it's a beat'em up game, then why did I include "Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger" even though it's the same beat'em up genre because it has a 1 vs 1 battle mode but it has to be multiplayer and what you see in the video is the story mode because I play using a smartphone, it's very difficult to use 2 player mode on a smartphone
