This is what I wanted to see in MHA the most, the oppression that would realistically exist in a world with super powers. In the first few episodes Izuku says those without quirks were only recently given the ability to apply to places like U.A., or how the quirkless are treated, how were those with mutant type quirks treated, the beginning of quirks, the treatment of weak quirk users, etc. I was honestly afraid the series would end before talking about it but I'm glad the recent chapter sheds some light on it and I'm glad Shoji (One of my favorite characters) is finally getting some showtime.

There’ve been a lot of signs Toru could have an important role Until the 368 color sketch, we hadn’t seen her right eye specifically Building on that, the sketch of her and Kirishima from a while back had her drawn as a pirate with the person who has a scar over his right eye, hers, previously mentioned, hadn’t been seen yet As I also mentioned already, she got that color sketch in 368, that’s most likely foreshadowing a future event, she’ll be here soon Add this to what was mentioned in the video, it seems to set up that she’ll play an instrumental role in this whole Mutant situation, I can see some damage to her right eye in the future, but possibly a Quirk Awakening, not just being able to refract and bend light, but emit it too, I wonder if her Quirk could cover all three types, born a Mutant, but then gets the ability to emit light, Emitter, and can turn herself visible, Transformation

@@Rjay0922 Both the hospital area and the stadium have gotten panels showing who’s there, so it’s most likely she’s with Aoyama or in another zone completely, Kuneida was mentioned as one person to watch out for, but so was Gashly, who we haven’t seen yet, and Compress has been stated to be coming back, plus some groups of random PLA members are almost certainly there, it’s not like Toru’s the only one left, so she won’t have a zone to herself, we still have most of 1-B, Shinso, and most of the older students

This portion of the story is soo relatable to biracial ppl. Never being pure blooded enough for one side of their heritage, or the other. As if biracial people don't love, appreciate, acknowledge, and embrace the struggles of who they are from multiple angles. Then get told that they can't relate by others. Who feel justified in their prejudice, and yet oblivious to their racism/hate. I've lived it since birth. Team heros! Rise above.

Spinner is "infected" with Gigantomachia's quirk and the more he uses it, the less intelligent he becomes. AFO despises the mutants because he has no use for their quirks as they would cause physical changes he finds repugnant. He led the first "purge" against them when he was younger. Kurogiri isn't the same Nomu that Spinner and AFO are expecting to find as he has been changed through his time with Present Mike and Aizawa. Shirakumo has reawakened inside Kurogiri and changed him forever. As Shirakumo awakens, his hero personality will override the Kurogiri persona created by AFO and Dr. Garaki. More of my crazy theories again.

Although i can see AFO leading or participating in the first purge I don't think it was because he despised the mutants. AFO is simply a parasite that has no real ideology other than acquiring power for himself or loyalty to anyone but himself. Simply the racists of the verse were the powerful group at the time so he aligned himself with them and then decided to align himself with the Mutants once they started shifting the tide and forming powerful criminal and terrorist groups. Either that or he knew groups like the paranormal liberation front would be created as a counter to something like the purge.

But there are people who are mutants whos' quirks are another type. Like Tokoyami. He legit has a bird head, and his quirk is considered an emitter.

She gets ignored and probably looked at weird being floating clothes, but that’s it. Once she is visible, she’s an attractive girl, so that doesn’t correlate to what an animal like mutant will go through.

I have a feeling that, the backstory that was shown from the start with the gecko, was just a fake out to make us think the back story was spinners... But in reality it showed Shoji's backstory and why even with all of the hate he faced he still wanted to become a hero and change the view people have of mutants. The reasons why i think that way are: The person in the backstory most likely got chased away and attacked by the angry mob of people The person that looks into the ocean is only seen from behind... and later on we see shoji looking out at the ocean as well, being all bruised up and hurt. The hairstyle is also quite similar to the shadow's. It would make a great way to let Shoji shine in this moment, maybe kota too but this all seems more to railway into a shoji highlight moment. Another reason why i don't think it's spinner's past is because he is currently unable to actually think, as he said his mind is going blank so him remembering the past just doesn't seem to fit in my eyes... The only thing on his mind right now is AFO's orders...

Would be dope if in this segment of the story Stain showed up and confronted Spinner and make him either see that he is going against what Stain believes, and in return fight back with the heroes, or maybe lead the mutants away from fighting against the heroes and instead with them, ooooor Spinner gets mad that Stain is siding with the heroes and does not aknowledge him as the example he saw him as and goes all out against him. Would also be dope to see Stain aknowledge that the new generation of heroes is perhaps not as vain and corrupt as he thought and that they carry the spirit of true heroism that All Might carried, given that to him the one true hero, and only one he allows to take his life, is All Might. We haven't seen him since his talk with Toshinori and we don't know where he is and/or what he's doing so having him show up for this clash of ideals and such would be really cool.

Everyday is a day too much, and your answer to these people is to wait some more? That things will change for the better soon? How ironic they referenced order 66 from Star Wars. In close wars it was explained that all clones had a chip inplanted that forced them to obey the order, meaning that they knew they won't do it. Some managed to refuse the order or take their chips, and so were hunted and killed by literally their brothers, considered traitors.

Part of me believes there was intent to originally have an arc that focused on the mutant side of quirk society but that had to be given up for one reason or another. Mostly I say this because of the constant presence of Shoji throughout the story, more so than some of the other Class 1-A characters. I figured an arc with mutants as the focus would give Deku and the audience perspective through characters like Shoji, Tokoyami, Koda, and Hawks. I imagined it would've happened some time between the 2 wars originally. Personally, I feel the turnaround for Shigaraki's completion after the 1st war was way faster than intended based on the pacing of the story beforehand. Like it should have been a couple months to a year to complete without Dr. Garaki so the way we get Tartarus Escapees arc, the exploration of mutants (maybe without hero society to lean one discrimination is more outright), an exploration of the other potential vessels besides Tomura instead of the reveal that they existed and were killed off in Dabi's backstory, and then we get to Stars and Stripes and the U.A. traitor arcs. I love the details and world building we're getting but I can't help but feel there was a desire to do more than just touch upon it in the final stretch

This…is a very political chapter. I think it’s fair to say we’ve seen equivalents of this in god knows how many riots we’ve seen. We know what the protest is about, we’ve seen it time and time again. It’s hard to flat out disagree with why people get so mad. And worse, the response is normally VERY skewed in one direction. This feels VERY real. We’ve seen it all. I’ll try to stay as ambiguous as I can because this is a VERY touchy subject. And we’re here to enjoy MHA. I won’t deny I REALLY should’ve seen the face covered Liberation Leader coming. And the easier to accept animals are the more recognizable ones. Like the Chief, the detective…Nezu. (Still got my eyes on you Mr. Absent from everything in this war so far) Which is a very noticeable touch. I wonder how quirkless people fit into this knowing they are a minority too. Spinner has gone MILDLY feral, and I REALLY don’t think the heroes can conceivably win this battle. Survive, yes. Stop their objective? Not so much. And saving Kurogiri will COMPLETELY reshuffle this battle. A great deal of battles I’ve been looking to occur would require a reshuffle of people. And since Monoma somehow CONTINUES to be occupied, that leaves Kurogiri as the only one that can truly do the reshuffling. And considering the liberation leader helping Spinner, I don’t think it’s far fetched to say Redestro is at the same location. And how HE fits into this has me raising all the eyebrows. But I think this might be leading somewhere with Stain and Iida too. The system corruption has been Stain’s thing from the outset. And you can’t have Stain without Iida. I’m very curious how this all fits together. I know this can’t be over because characters that have their strongest narrative battles aren’t where they are meant to be. But my perspective of that compared to Horikoshi’s very well could differ so saving Kurogiri may lead to COMPLETELY different circumstances. I’m purely stuck on the many possibilities here.

I think it’s pretty clear that the mutants in this situation are analogous to racial minorities. Who supremacists may say have “tainted blood”. But I think where quirkless people fit in analogy wise is more to that of disabled people. Not feared like the mutants often are. But just seen as lesser than. Different types of discrimination.

GardenShed Tbf, we do have many types of discrimination some people told of. That is why we somehow think otherwise of such norms. Just like in real life, people just seek for what they wanted, justice. But how does that justice prevails if both people won't even see it. Sure, they want justice, they want that life they wanted, but times' always changing, happiness is just too short to proclaim. That ideals shift back and forth, that both Deku wanted to answer when he fought Shigiraki... Political Disadvantages, Power, Money, Looks and Charisma, all of them combine, yet we still don't have the justice we want truly, because sometimes it is also our fault to begin with. Justice is the light, yet how can we capture that light if were just blocking it? Just like what I remember back when Uraraka and Toga fought towards what they loved... That one thing that I really am curious, because they have so many similarities...

Stain couldn’t get attention to how heroes were sliding towards being nothing but glory seeking shows, and not what they’re supposed to be. Based on the fact that he can freely move quirks from anybody to himself and vice versa I had already assumed he completely dwarfed Deku in terms of quirks. But that OFA could still keep up because it amped all other quirks it obtained to the level of OFA while AFO kept the quirks as was. Or does AFO also amp the quirks to reach his level?

This is a recurring point that people who get multiple quirks implanted in them lose their ability to think. It seems that a person can handle 2 or 3 quirks max before mental degeneration starts taking over. The only exceptions are AFO/Shigaraki because of AFO the quirk and Deku with One For All. The question I ask is are these exceptions because of the nature of quirks themselves or is it because of a genetic tolerance for multiple quirks. AFO (the person) never had his genes messed with until the modern era, Shigaraki had his body down to his DNA remodeled to handle AFO (the quirk), and Deku is a mystery. We don't know how OFA is using the vestiges quirks and we don't know if OFA affords some extra quirk tolerance to Deku as this OFA could not use previous quirks before Deku so we don't know how ALL MIGHT for example would've coped with multiple quirks. All of this is to say that there are some important questions left to explore so I really don't think this is the last arc.

Horikoshi ever makes a prequel like he did with Vigilantes he's gotta have it take place like forty years after quirks first appeared. Bc stuff like this has been hinted throughout the entire series. The fall of the Yakuza and other crime based organizations due to the arrival of the Hero Profession. Villains rising up and taking control of everything. The hate groups, the prejudice. The shifting of the entire power balance of the world itself due to the arrival of the super enhanced. Then there's the racism and prejudice towards people with different quirks. Hate from those on the ground towards those in the air. Fear of someone who has a pair of wings, or an abnormally shaped jaw. That is what I always hoped that horikoshi addressed in his series one day. Bc of the way Horikoshi set his series up he could have his own expanded universe spanning about a hundred years from the time the Glowing Baby showed up to the final chapters of MHA.

I'm mainly seeing the Paranormal Liberation Front as an anarchic attack on hero society that has no means of repairing it unless under AFO's cause. The heroes aren't innocent either, people like Endeavour and the Heroes Commission brought this chaos upon themselves and their failures the protect the vulnerable and sticking to surface level values. But this doesn't mean that the Villains are necessarily in the right though. The villains themselves are causing trauma and people in similar ways that Hero society caused to them. And their support of AFO, a known tyrannical dictator, just cements their hypocritical nature. It won't be a surprise when they they replace hero society and indirectly cause the people to turn against them, just how they did to the hero society. History repeating itself. It's a case of the oppressed turning into the oppressor. Neither are in the right, and the rebuilt hero society, both issues need to be addressed.

my theories for the final ever chapter of my hero academia after killing both hawks and endeavor, and losing shigaraki to the heroes, afo kidnaps inko to use as a bargaining chip with deku. he meets deku, holding his mom, and says he'll let her go if deku gives afo his quirk, ofa. deku agrees, and afo succesfully recieves one for all. deku and his mom go back home, deku feeling like hes let the world down. meanwhile in the body of all for one, are all of the vestiges of ofa. they're resisting against him being the new user, but he refuses to let go. in the end, the first holder of ofa, afo's brother, takes afo into the spirit realm, killing him. back at home, Inko tells deku the truth about his father-- and that fearing for her life made her realize she shouldve told him sooner she reveals to him that the reason shes kept it secret for so long was because she was paid off by her husband, and that they came to a mutual understanding; he would support her and her son, deku, financially, if she never told anyone his identity. in tears, inko tells deku, "son.....your name, no, OUR name, was never actually Midoriya...... your real father died today..... he, killed him. your father's thought was, that with the combination of my quirk and his, his child may one day surpass All Might.... something he could never do himself. Sound familiar? your father, the man i loved..... was the flame hero, Endeavor."
