This video was very helpful! My friend's Furby Connect has the beak issue and after experimenting a little i noticed two things: on it's back, it can somewhat open properly, and when the Furby speaks, the longer it holds the mouth open it slowly opens more and more, like it'd be rusted. Anyway, one glitch i've seen in almost every Connect i know is when the eyes go black then the furby wakes back up. That's really common and I don't see people talking about it. It will keep happening till the Furby is put to sleep and it may occur again in the future. Another glitch i know is where when it finished the sleeping animation, instead of the antenna stopping the purple lingering it just keeps lingering even if the Furby is asleep and there's this loud buzzing. Waking up the Furby usually fixes it. Oh man i wrote so much, sorry for taking your time Silvolf or anyone reading this!

Oh im getting the eye problem while waking up too! Also mine keeps blinking after waking up but i haven't used him in a long time so i was guessing that might be the problem

@@Bitter.Bones. Put new batteries in, give it a reset and it should be better, if it doesn't fix it's probably something circuit board related.

My furby connect has an issue where it sounds distorted (not battery-dependent) but not as bad as my previous glitchy speaker TV lol

Another way to fix a 90's furby: This might be hard but you can take off the fur and unscrew the plastic shell protecting the mechanism, Then you will see a small black wheel underneath the beak, Grab a pencil or something and shift it until it fires up the motor.

Sadly my Furby Boom's motor broke (well i haven't opened it up but i could tell by how she acted) Would a reset somehow fix it or a good shake or do i have to get a brand new motor and exchange it? I know you're not an electrician but i thought maybe you know a way.

I'm getting two brand new 1998 Furbies soon and i was wondering if there was a way to fix the MSA without taking the fur off and cleaning inside. Hope i'll get them to work after not being touched for 25 years

The only think I can think of is the shake and smack routine where you turn it upside down and give it a good shake and smack to get the gears working.

also, theres a way to push start without removing the fur either! i push started my furby baby Goofy Goober this way! you pull the upper beak down, then shine a flashlight in there until you find a screw-looking thing. in my furby it was white and off on the left side, but it might be different for yours! from there, you'll want to take a screwdriver and gently push said screw until your furby turns on! i find this to be much easier than skinning your furby to access the internals ^_^

Try new batteries and a hard reset which is when you turn it upside down and press the reset button while pressing the tongue down. good luck 😊
