I agree completely. I don’t care what someone’s views are as long as they are being chill and respectful, but you’re totally right how they try to take a high ground by exploiting fringe opinions of people who don’t represent their own group/normal viewpoints well. It gives open discussions about politics and social problems a bad name- one where it instigates drama and anger. If we disagree on something then it’s okay, because your life experience is just as valuable as my own so we can be understanding

Well said! I love watching Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan/All Gas No Breaks, but always watch it understanding that whoever he talks to is just a small percentage of the group they're from and not everyone is as crazy-seeming as the people he interviews lol. Love it as entertainment tho

I feel like it's getting harder and harder to have an honest good faith discussion with anyone who disagrees with you nowadays. Especially with people who align themselves on a different "side" politically. Most people today are only looking to score points to what they consider the correct side and discredit the other, even if it means people leave the discussion feeling more resentful towards other people than before. I can see how people like Crowder think it's fair to dunk on dumb college kids as a form of payback to how the education system has been treating people who don't share the same beliefs as their crazy leftist teachers, but all it does is poison the well towards healthy discussions. I don't even know if public good-faith discussions are possible anymore.

Less people now than ever care about open-mindedness or the raw virtue of being a good person, regardless of whatever "side" you're on. I suppose it helps though to know that people are only like this because they are mistaken about what is really good and what is really bad, and in a way, they are decieved and can't help doing what they do.
