Opening all 604 chests in geometry dash 2.2, to unlock all 2.2 rewards. This was a very fun way to start my 2.2 grind, and I cannot wait to do more. I beat the tower, the gauntlets, and even tried the 2.2 recent tab, so more videos are coming soon! hope you enjoy :) this is more or less unedited, because I was opening all the chests pretty rapid fire, but it still ended up taking almost 40 minutes.

I did the maths, and the amount of keys Aeon has is batshit insane. You get a key every 500 orbs and one demon gives you exactly 500 orbs. This means that to get the same amount of keys as Aeon, you’ll have to beat 3105 demons total. Of you beat a demon every 2 days, it’ll take you 6210 days or 17 years or 8 and a half years if you beat a demon every day. But, Aeon managed to beat 1000 demons in just a month, reducing the time by 2.8 years. He also beats multiple demons a day, thus reducing the time by even more years. My main criticism to this update is that most of these awesome icons are completely locked until you pump a couple THOUSAND levels in your save. I know that 2.1 was also guilty of this with the shops having a shit ton of spendable stuff taking a century to grind for but this is different, you need to beat 3006 demons (I think) to get EVERY SINGLE CHEST! Not everyone just has thousands of keys just laying around nor are they skilled enough to beat every weekly for a steady amount of keys (Everyone being me, I suck lmao.) Sure I took a 4 year long hiatus but it’s still crazy how much I’m gonna have to grind for all these. Well tbf GD has always been grindy (STAR ACHIEVEMENTS FLASHBACKS) but it’s still an issue I wish to be resolved in some way, maybe make Demon Keys more common or maybe a shop could give you demon keys for 500 orbs each. These are just ideas so don’t shred me in the replies (if anyone is gonna see and read this) TL;DR: I don’t like how grindy the chests are so we should make the keys more easy to get or something.

I crunched some numbers about the diamond per key ratio of each chest. Here are the chests from best to worst: 1. The 100 key chest had the best average of 5 diamonds per key 2. The 1 key chests have a surprising 4 diamonds per key, very good if you want instant gratification. 3. the 25 key chests have a modest average of 3.15 4. Next up is the 5 key chests with a lowley 2.4 diamonds per key. 5. Lastly the 10 key chests with a pathetic 1.4 diamonds per key... These are not worth your time... In conclusion the 100 is easily the best and also gives really awesome icon sets, but also require a lot of patience. Where as the 1 gives a nice amount without the need to wait a long time for a big reward.

One footnote not mentioned in this, the 50 key chests have an average of 2 diamonds per key, placing them below the 5 key chests while above the 10 keys. Probably best to save them for last.
