For those mentioning the geo cap per room, according to the Hollow Knight wiki, Grubfather gives a total of 7500 geo. In this video I got 6750 geo, so in total I lost a potential 750 geo. Sucks, but I deleted this save file months ago, so not my problem.

That might be less Geo than he actually gives in total. There's a limit to how many Geo objects can be on screen simultaneously and older ones get deleted if the limit is reached.

Try doing the second trial of the colosseum, it gives you at least 2k geo each time, is quite easy once you get the hang of it and it takes like 5 minutes tops. I did all 3 unbreakable charms this way and it took me a couple hours in total

@@AlastorNahIdWinRadioDemon thankfully, colo is repeatable and while the item prizes from 1 and 2 don’t drop more than once, you do get money. And because of how it is structured, you don’t have to worry about losing your shade and money (since it always respawns in the room to the left of the bench). Rn I’m 2/3 myself and still have some grub rewards waiting/some grubs to find. If nothing else, using greed and the money grabbing charm from Sly’s shop with hoppers can get you quite a bit. (Hoppers are fairly easy to kill and are transition respawns instead of bench respawns. Hoppers are actually better than colo 2 provided you don’t have pure nail. (According to Skurry who routed an all unbreakable speedrun and spent like an hour killing hoppers- although I think they said the silverfish looking things in deepnest using the flying spawn guys was technically better, but less consistent overall)

Isn't there a max amount of geo per screen, so that some despawn after the limit is reached? Read something along the lines about millibelle's room and why you shouldn't wait till the end to collect the geo...

In Millibelle's case the geo just stops spawning at certain point but after collecting it you can hit her for more again, with no apparent loss of geo. Here in Grubfather's room, I did the math and I did get all the geo from him in this video so the only downside to waiting for him to throw all the geo is potential game lag.

Yes, the first Grub you save earns you 10 geo and then the amount increase by ten, not including when he gives you other rewards like mask shards, per every other grub you save. Though it should be noted that is set in stone and sometimes the amount doesn't increase, (Like how grub 14 & 15 both give 120 geo) and sometimes it increases by five geo (like how the grub 19 gives you 160 geo and then grub 20 gives you 165 geo). But in short, yes the amount of geo does get larger overall with each grub you save.
