Anyone who's ever worked with Bondo (or Drywall Mud ) Knows that it take tons of practice to know how much you need to get the job done without going too heavy. I've always admired Robby's light touch when I watch his videos. Hang in there Hillbilly and Colton. You have a good teacher and keep practicing!

Part of drywall is also learning to mix mud to the proper consistency, even when I use box mud I prefer to add a cup of water to it and mix it well, then it flows easy and smooth.

He is such a natural in front of the camera and very good at what he does. Kudos to Cody. When you need him in front of the camera he really comes through. Cody you been holding out on us. Robby is so lucky to have a team that will work late hours if needed to finish a project. That takes dedication and effort. What a great team and channel you guys are! Cody is an awesome worker. I enjoy seeing him once in a while. Is he the shop foreman? He comes off as the type of guy that if you REALLY need help he is the one to call. The fact that he already put in a days hard work in the shop and still was willing to come out and help the youtube side finish out a project tells a lot about someone. I know some people want to see more of him, but I know that a guy like him you cannot take away from your main business.

Props to Hillbilly. Most of us have had a boss that said "here do this" and then walked away, letting us figure it out, only to tell us what we did wrong after we did our best without training. Most of us didn't have 400k people watching, though.

Good video, give Hillbilly an A for effort. Not that it matters, this was not built for car shows. At 34:30 The crease angle on the front below the windshield / above the headlights does not appear to be straight when looking from the front. In cases like this, I have found it to be helpful to lay down masking tape and use it as a guide to create a straight horizontal edge when applying bondo. You are damned if you do and damned by the internet if you don't. This is equivalent to doing a top quality show paint job on a wheelbarrow or a dozer. Lipstick on a pig. Conversely, before someone sees and points it out / criticizes.., this is a Bombardier basically a tractor built for all terrain /off road. The factory steel flat panels, gaps and seams were never or no where near perfect when it was originally built new, there was no emphases put on fitment or function, its the nature of the beast. Robby and crew are working up against factory / Matt's shop welding / waves from heat warping. Synopsis : On a job like this, where and when do you stop? As far as I'm concerned this job is already over the top for something that will be dragged thru bushes and mud.

Great to see Cody, he's a great voice of reason. With Hillbilly buring off the rubber coating, it made me want to say that I am always concerned about the PPE in your videos, sanding without masks, grinding without ear protection... Cody called it with the sanding device that vacuums up the dust, so it's better on your health. It is great to see your progress, on both Bombi and Wiskers, thanks for the great content.

I agree with others that Robby needs to teach Hillbilly and Colton. Telling them to do something they're not accustomed to and taking off, then coming back later and publicly ridiculing them for not doing it the way you would do it is not teaching them how to do the job the way you want it. You'll wind up driving them away frustrated while you will be frustrated at not getting the work done the way you want it. Wasting everybody's time and patience and your $$.

I, once used a piece of 1 x 2 lumber to spread filler on a 1972 Chevelle driver's door, because a buddy was too cheap to replace the door, and the damage was too extensive to use a spreader. Glad it wasn't my own vehicle. He was always so much fun to have on hand while doing paint work, cause he would never keep the DA flat on a panel, and wanted the sanding to go faster, so would tilt up and use the edge of the pad. I miss those days of painting and repairing cars.
