I hoped he would die in the chasm so the imbalance of promoting him way too much with way too much dialogue and scenes compared to all the other characters (compare HIS scene here to all the others...) would finally come to an end. He's just annoying because he is squished into every opportunity to have his big scene while other characters needed ages to even get one (shenhe for example)-and I don't even like her) xiao isn't the only one that is lonely. not the only one having issues socializing. not the only one having a hard past. But hoyo seems to just neglect all other characters and make him to be the only one... but I still have hopes that he or albedo will be the first to go Himeko style . it would be awesome

@@glasperle77 you're right in some parts of what you say but i don't think he's squished into every opportunity. He appears once a year in lantern rite and on the odd occasion, much like a lot of other characters. The reason he was in the chasm quest is because it was about the yaksha, and being the last remaining one, he was important to the quest. You could argue that for example Itto is also squished into everything. I mean, he has his own event and is in a lot of other events. You're right, Xiao isn't the only one that's lonely, unsociable or has a hard past, but to says he's squished into every opportunity to have a big scene is a little dramatic. Hoyo just wants to represent how he's grown as a character, which they have done with quite a few characters like Wanderer.

@@glasperle77​​⁠as a Xiao fan, actually Xiao getting Himeko treatment is very in character of him and I will see that as a win. I do share your sentiment that he's getting a bit too intimate with traveler, squished into any opportunities to share important scenes with the traveler, and it's basically annoying for those who have neutral view of him. Aaaand I do hope Hoyoverse will give more spotlight to characters such as Rosaria and Xinyan aaaa they're so forgotten 😭 but what can we do? AFAIK Xiao is very profitable for Hoyoverse as a character for sale and he's basically a golden child of the dev team (with his own Developer's Insight and such) so I regret to say that this will not be the last time 🥲 I hope you can still enjoy Genshin despite the inconveniences!

Yeah either the dialogue was bogus or we had to go find her in Qioying village before the final scene, it makes sense she came back to Liyue Harbour to be in the cutscene with Zhongli. This Latern Rite missed probably the most characters so far: Ningguang, Beidou, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Chongyun, Yanfei, Yunjin, Baizhu. Even Zhongli & Hu Tao were barely featured until the epilogue.

They need to come up with a better design for those shorts so it's not too revealing for censorship sake but also looks good.
