Here's a tip for the jumpy hurdle horse thing: When approaching the hurdle just don't touch your controller don't even push the left stick forward at all. I think that's what causes the horse to side step randomly or even stop randomly too.

Tip for the Knights armor go to Rito village and get the eagle bow(get arrows if you dont already have any) head back to Archery camp save it right before you start the challenge. So during the challenge and you miss targets you can restart it from your last save and dont run out of bows and arrows.

The best way I found to complete the highland stable challenge was to run the course counter clock wise ( turn left immediately and ignore the first jump you see at the beginning). It was the only guarantee that the horse would jump the “evil” obstacle . I think the horse would always stall there was because the jump bar seemed to be set in an uphill area. I never had a problem having the horse make that jump from the opposite direction though. It’s worth trying if you are having trouble.

I honestly loved doing jumping the first time when I got the saddle and bridle I had to use a gentle horse, but after practice I just complete it for fun with wild horses! I found the knights set to be the hardest.

There is also another saddle and bridle you can get from the horse amiibo. It is called the traveler's bridle/saddle. I know this may not have been out when this video was made, so this is just for extra info.

Just a little tip for bonding, you can actually take your horse to Kakariko Village and have your horse eat all of the swift carrots from that one guy’s garden. Doesn’t trigger any npc dialogue, and you don’t have to waste any of your apples or carrots :D

Ohhh it's a tricky one! Try bringing different bows. The guardian bow will get you good range for targets far away but it's slow to draw, but try a lynel bow if you are finding it hard to hit the targets as it will shoot multiple arrows. I would recommend the falcon bow or something that can pull an arrow fast too. Jump off the horse at the end and enter slow mo to get the last few, You can push start when you are about to run out of stamina in slow motion to refill with an elixir/meal to get more slow motion time. The guy who you take the quest with sells more arrows when it's raining too in case you didn't know. Hope this helps you out!

Great Eagle bow is the way to go fast draw distance and multiple arrows. I did mine with a quick shot savage lynel now because I broke my great eagle bow and couldn't replace it until the next blood moon

More gets added to the shop each time you complete a new divine beast. He will sell everything including dark link costume once you beat all 4 beasts. Hope this helps.

It might be worth picking up an ancient bow as it has a very long range and great accuracy, a royal guard bow for its fast draw speed and maybe a 5x lynel bow so you are shooting multiple arrows at once giving you more of a chance of landing a shot. The best tip I learned from the comments on this video is to use bomb arrows for the final area to make it easier to hit the targets close together.

That is epona which is an amiibo horse. I got it with the smash bros link amiibo. You can't change the saddle and bridle for epona if I remember correctly.

Nope it comes with its own default one that can't be swapped out and cannot also be used on other horses. There is an exclusive saddle and bridle set for scanning the botw rider amiibo which I couldn't showcase at the time because I didn't have the amiibo back when I made this video.

The monster set can allow you to ride the stalhorse

you can not register stalhorses at stables so you wouldn't be able to equip them with the monster set, and just to let you know, you can ride stalhorses without the monster set too.

Id say 1.5 wheels of stamina would be enough if you can tap the soothe button fast enough. You could make stamina boosting meals/potions if your stamina isnt high enough yet.

yes, you just need to press start and eat some food before your stamina runs out. I would recommend cooking a single endura carrot or a single endura shroom, as meals that extend your stamina wheel also fully restore your normal stamina wheel at the same time. You can recover a lot of stamina with very little resources this way.

Dude I have two full stamina wheels and I replenished one of them after the first two ran out and it still kicked me off ! There’s no way in hell that horse let you mount it after not even using 2 wheels which is way less than the 3 I used and still got kicked off. What’s your trick ?

I had also used some endura shrooms so I could have one third of a wheel extra en even that on top of everything else.

I used to play a lot of track and field button mashing games so i am quite the masher haha. If you use meals that extend your total stamina right as you are about to run out of normal stamina it will fully recover as well as slightly extend your stamina. If you have 5 endura carrots for example, cook them 1 at a time and you have 5 full stamina recovery meals. This should help with taming the royal horse/lord of the mountain/the giant horse etc. Sorry for the late reply!

The ancient gear is found in chests by Malanya the horse god and where you can find the lord of the mountain. By far the worst one, even with epona i found it very difficult and frustrating, especially that one hurdle thats on the little flat hill. It took me at least 2 hours to beat it twice. Keep on trying and you will eventually get it. A few people in the comments said they done the lap backwards and found it easier that way. Try giving that a shot!

I have a way to get past the evil hurdle but it might not work: Press A when you’re in front of the hurdle. That way, the horse will shake its head and not know what it’s doing so he’ll jump over the hurdle and you can continue.
