UPDATE 19 AUGUST 2020: On the step where you add your account 9:33min in video tap Sign In and when phone stuck in Sign In screen(if not continue tap Next until it stuck in Sign In) leave it and open recent apps button and install Google Services Framework from files. Open again Sign In screen and account should be added check in settings. If You have Huawei P40 Pro 147 Firmware, you need to downgrade or G app will not work.

This guide worked on 10/08/2020 on my P40 Pro. But the Google play protect error was coming and all my banking apps refused to work, and shut down immediately after opening. The reason was that the Google Play services that was installed was outdated. The fix was to install "PLAY SERVICES INFO (UPDATE)" from the Play Store, which I used to update all my Google services to the latest version including 1. Google Play Services, 2. Google Play Store and 3. Google Services Framework. Still "your device is not play protected" error came, for which I stopped the notifications. I now regularly check "PLAY SERVICES INFO (UPDATE)" app to see if Google has updated any of the GMS apps so I too can update them. Also I am so happy System Hacks method, allowed to have Push notifications from all the apps too. Thank you so much System Hacks for all your hard work. Take care. Be safe... 😊

Just spent 7 hrs trying to do this and it worked. If you go wrong it's all about changing the dates frm present to past as when you press the G app it always as to be the past date and once your of it change it to the present day n visa versa. If you mess a step up you'll have to reset and start again as I did lol. MEDIA PAD M6 10. 8" HAS GOOGLE PLAY, HAPPY DAYS.

Make sure you check you date before install （one month before as in video), and check again before you launch play store (needs to be current date time). In my case the installer doesn't change date/time for me so i had to check every time.

thanks a lot, worked on the 2nd try on my nova 7i EMUI version 10.1.0.226 It's really important to change the date, before installing the apps from the files folder and before opening the chineese app, change the date to 1 or 2 monthes earlier, before opening play store, check if it's already opened, clear it from memory, change the date to "automatically get the date", open play store. Remember, each time before opening play store, change the date to actual date and time. This worked for me, no more annoying google play protect and action required popups

I’ve followed the instructions, have removed SIM but when I try and use the Browser Sign in for my Google Account, I get an error saying “Couldn’t Sign In, There was a problem communicating with Google Servers, Try again later”. @@BLmundo if your banking apps, Gmail don't work can download the latest version of Google play services from the Play store. That's what I did and all aps now work perfectly. Though at the beginning of launching certain apps like Gmail and maps it say this app will not work due to no Google play services installed on device. After pressing ok few times, the app works flawlessly.

Factory reset my phone and ran through everything smoothly, when I tried to open Lzplayer it pops up with a message and kicks me out of the app. Sim card is out and date is set to June, using a p40 lite. Checked error messages and says device not supported

It's WORKING 200%, just follow the steps as recommended. Also, if you have multiple google's account, add all of them in the step where he asked to add the first google account, cause we cant do it after that, at least we start all the steps one more time every time we want to add a new google account. And, if you copy data from an old device, keep a backup file of the old, and also one of P40 with the data

Hi thanks so much for this, it works perfectly for me (P40 pro), Playstore works, Maps and KZbin works, and I don't get any error notifications so far. Been about a week already. Now I just received a notification that the firmware version 10.1.158 is ready to be installed and even if I dismiss it, it keeps reminding me everyday. So my question is, would my Playstore and GMS be affected or stop working if I did the firmware update, or do I definitely have to keep my existing firmware (10.1.142)? Thanks in advance!

I didn't receive this firmware but previous update was OK. So I suppose this one should be OK also. Just never try to add new account or change your Google password.

@@SystemHacks thanks for the info, I didn't know that even changing the password would break it. I wish we could root the P40 pro so I could do a full nandroid backup and restore in case something goes wrong. Do u know if root is possible if we managed go buy the bootloader unlock codes?

Thank you. I'm not factory reset my phone (current version is 131), so it only works until this step 11:30, the next step will break the GMS. After that, I just disable the GSF using Multitool to stop the notification, and done. At least the app I need can run now. Playstore still working, but I will use Aurora instead (just afraid it can break the GMS again).

It almost worked for me. Just one question because I really want to give up huhu. When the “G” app is installed, then i tap on it, it doesn’t load. It pops a blue icon with chinese character then transfers me to the homepage again. The app doesn’t work. What can I do to fix this problem? Thank you so much!
