What I like most about Angelina Jordan singing songs written by Adele or for Adele is that when Angelina sings the lyrics the meaning comes through without any negativity. Debra and Tony, when I hear Angelina’s delicate breathiness I visualize a butterfly settling on a flower. When she brings forth her lower register I can feel the weight of each note, syllable and lyric. Most of all I feel my heart well up with a sense of love, peace and soothing calmness. Angelina’s genuine and passionate love of singing is front and center. There exists a palpable pureness that we all sense when we listen to this angel sing. Angelina simply makes us feel better when we listen to her sing. I’ll speak for myself when I say I can sense the God particle in her. Thank you both for another very enjoyable reaction. It’s always a pleasure visiting with you and sharing our admiration, respect and love for our angel.

All I ask is for Angelina to remain true to herself. Thankfully Republic Records appears they are allowing Angelina total control over her art. I now believe Republic is honoring the wishes of Angelina's family and keeping her career on a slow track until she finishes high school. Just imagine how many songs Angelina will create over the next couple years without having the pressure of being a bigger star than she already is. I don't know, but am willing to wager Angelina has already completed enough songs to fill two albums. We angels need to respect her family's wishes and be thankful for any new performances we get over the next couple years.

Great new reaction after the first with the mashup, Debra and Tony. She is really fantastic! What a wonderful old style atmosphere, is only Angelina, her voice that fills all the spaces of the imagination, a delightful elegance and a light background of the piano ... a unique and emotional fresco. The charm of the voice that comes out of this fascinating and exciting interpretation is absolutely shocking, this little girl is truly the music, in the deepest essence of her. ❤️ If she keeps giving us her wonderful covers too, I think this will be a lovely year if Angelina continues to publish at this rate, between originals and covers. Great reaction as always. AJ's singing just goes straight to the heart. You don't just hear the music, you feel it becoming part of you. In listening, you become part of the story Angelina is telling. BTW, I believe that Rob Christie (2x Grammy winner) is on the piano and is the director of creative content for Republic Records. Bruno...did not fare well in that mashup. It's dangerous to get mashed up with Angelina. All of a sudden you realize performances you thought were good were actually thin and strained.

Because Angelina's roots are firmly planted in jazz, she is able to inflect in ways that a non-jazz singer just can't duplicate. Her breathy air, riffs, runs, and a host of other types of nuance that permeate many of her songs can be attributed to her exposure to Amy Winehouse early on. The two of them belong in a special category that is really unattainable by even great singers. You will notice that the only A-List singer who can take on many of Amy's songs is Angelina. Others don't even try, because they know it would be an exercise in futility.

Debra introduces songs with great research summary, and explains emotional perception with beautiful words, while Tony supplies superb technical analysis and poetic description. Both are equally as important because they play off each other as a beautiful team. I love them both, and both are required to create the effect we enjoy. So please respect both of their vital roles, and please stop playing favorites and sounding rude like that.

In Angelina's lower to mid range register you can hear the influence of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Esther Phillips. Yet, her voice and vocal quality is truly unique. Frankly, I'd like to see her career and choice of genre' be more so "smooth jazz" (ala; Dianne Reeves, Nora Jones, Angela Bofill, Rachelle Ferrell, etc...) rather than a forced push for a top-40 pop music hit. Sure, a hit pop single is good for recognition and lots of money. But a keeping in line with your roots and real strengths, in my opinion leads to greater self satisfaction, audience appreciation and respect for your talent.
