The games your on the draw and an opponent has grief or daze are real uphill fights, have to see how a the deck does in meta with a bit more combo hate before anything gets banned.

@@D0012D13😂 This new one is made to be strictly worse. because of the hand size limits you have to play these all in win end step builds, with a lot of deckbuildinh requirement. If necrodominance gets countered, or removed by force of vigor you likely mulliganed down low, and are playing a deck with few draw spells to catch back up. Also since old necro was a activated ability something like force of vigor can’t stop it, since you can activate it in response

Given that you're aiming for a lot of turn 1 kills with these necro decks, is the Land Grant package something that's been on your radar? Maybe it's not ideal for this iteration of the deck where you couldn't afford to powder away singleton lands, but… for a deck without them I figure they could shave the land count somewhat, making room for Chrome Mox or something while building storm.

What is the success rate when drawing 19? At what number of cards drawn does the success rate become 50/50? Ideally, you want the T1 combo which = draw19, but it'd be cool to know how losing 3 cards per turn (vs a T1 Grief) affects the probability of winning.

I feel like serum powder mulligans will exile too many important pieces and make the combo even more iffy. Idk, could be wrong, but like Tony's OG build

Serum Powders doesn't come for free, agreed. It's definitely a deckbuilders choice to choose between Powder + redundant copies of combo pieces vs tutors like Beseech + singletons. I mean, Beseech is still a pretty busted card, and IMHO you don't need to be a graveyard deck with Gaea's Will or anything to profit from it. Just having them act as Necro copies 5-8 is still hideously strong.

@@TheEPICStorm again not an expert but couple things I see despite needing to go through graveyard are 1. Rule of 8 when it comes to effects you're looking for and 2. It seems based on what I've seen easier to reload and take a second shot if you're stuff gets countered. I could absolutely be wrong here.

There are some blue Dredge builds that are in the same price range in paper if you sub in 2x Watery Grave for 2x Underground Sea. The two life lost may cost some % points, but often you fetch basic Island with the deck anyway.

my instinct says you would like something else besides the 4 necro to avoid mulliganing to oblivion too often. I think of vintage dredge because they can play magic even if they mull to 1, if that 1 is bazaar, but you can't really say the same with necro. I don't know that beseech is the move but I am thinking something like that would do a lot to help consistency. Of course, I say this before watching, so if you crushed it and never had issues then I may feel silly by the end of the video.
