You know, if I was to go to a 9 proxy vintage tournament, I could play this deck right now... 😱 This is definitely my favorite vintage deck. Totally all in, extremely complicated, fast and furious.

I love this deck so much. I've been jamming lotus breach since the B&R, but this is my wish list. I just don't want to spend the $$$ on the mox opals.

Turn 2 win is crazy

Whenever possible I try to keep 1 blue up/floating during the combo, so that I can escape an Emry/Tamiyo to turn Mox Amber on. This helps with: Starting the combo without a mox on a small GY, winning through Surgical on Opal, leaving your opponent wondering if you have Pierce/Metallic Rebuke/Mystic Dispute. There's definitely also times where, similar to match 2, you have Station out, and just want to start milling yourself because the Oracle is in hand and you might reasonably just win that way. I am a little surprised that EE and Tormod's Crypt aren't considerations as 1 ofs somewhere in the 75, since traditionally having zeroes for the combo to kick off with was important, but I can certainly understand not needing every zero cost with Opal being unbanned.

Those Invasion forests by John Avon are *chef's kiss*. Been using them for years as well.

Good watch, but as someone sort of just getting back into MTG, I'm starting to feel a little disappointed every time I find out that yet another combo deck is just another Thassa's Oracle win-con engine. So many are "here are the two or three card interaction(s) to deck yourself and recur the oracle" e.g. GrindingStation + 0-drop + underworld breach / Cephalid Breakfast / oops-all-spells / Doomsday / Nadu + lighting greaves The ruby storm and pauper featured decks have been more interesting to me in terms of variety on what they are actually trying to do and how their win-con executes

I love this deck! What do you think it needs apart from gut shot? And Do you think there could be an alt wincon some how? Like a Wish/empty the warrens or something else? I'd love your thoughts coz im building this deck for modern :)

while consign does hit the oracle trigger you can typically just heat your oracle and cast it again. Obviously some games you may not have the resources to do so, but I have found the majority you do. Especially now that the red mana is free off of opal

Of course mopal unban enables a grinding breach deck, but heck yeah love breach combos. Maybe just maybe i get into modern just for this deck cause mopal and looting

Round 4 game 1, I believe that if you play one of the zero mana artifacts to bait the bowmaster you could have made a construct in response to grow it, saving the contruct. Minor thing, still loved the vid!

Decklist plz for Grinding station?

Personally feel like considering Amulet Titan “not a combo deck” is a hot take. Titan is definitely not a “Storm” deck, but it does have calculated explosive turns that generate extra mana to create an insurmountable advantage or end the game. As someone who plays lots of fair decks, I have always treated the Titan matchup the same as any other combo deck. Bringing in hand disruption, hate pieces, or removal for the combo pieces. I am curious about what everyone else thinks? Let me know.
