Answer- correct - though azelaic acid is an acid but it is not a exfoliating acid but to the surprise it does exfoliates the skin gently. not a strong exfoliant like other acids AHA or BHA. but yes a gentle exfoliant suitable for even most sensitive skins out there. 😃
