Hey Brad, I know these kind of videos must be extremely tough to make, especially given the recent downswing(s). Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you making the effort to create these kind of videos, for someone that just started taking Poker somewhat seriously it helps knowing that 1. it's not all sunshine n roses, and that 2. even a year-long pro like you goes through these tough stretches, it makes everything way more relatable. I think that years from now, when it's all said and done, you'll not regret having made these videos, as it'll be nice watching back on a small bump in the road of an otherwise very steep uphill drive. :) Keep it up!

Yeah I just played some hours of 2/5 and I thought that was high limits, when I had to go all in with 300 bucks. But as I see, 300 is just a bet on the turn and river that's common place. I will not be going to that stakes anytime soon. lol

volcano hi the point is to make money. If you’re making money at your stakes than stay there. I play 5/10 and it’s bigger than this game in the video. But I’m comfortable there. Wouldn’t want to play bigger. Even tho I do sometimes and do decent.
@SwayPromo4 жыл бұрын
volcano hi Yeah man. I get it. Just play what you’re comfortable at whatever makes you money. I play 55 because it’s easier in my opinion and I can make more money. Here in Houston the games are insane. A 1/2 gain can easily have 4 to $5000 stacks. Making it almost a “have to” moving up and steaks. The game that Brad showed i this video is super soft and small compared even to our 1/3 game. Lol Brad is terrible 😂

@7:03 "this seemed like a small sizing" why is 510 a small sizing ? its almost pot. too much leveling in that hand in your head. the flop got 4 bet and u are convincing urself both ranges are not necessarily strong despite both having 88 and 66 very credibly. "utg is raising a one pair hand to see where he s at" not sure thats play to be expected at that stake when somebody has continued > half pot multiway and gotten called already. "sometimes you feel you will win", doesn't seem you were in the right mindset for such a big game , taking a shot in the midst of a downswing that made u gamble in a very big pot chasing some losses.

@Vunomic4 жыл бұрын
What are u talking about bro? U talking out of ur ass. If Brad actually play GTO he woulda save money. 1. GTO is to be on the flop with that KJ hand with K on the flop. Since we have a range advantage. Guess what? Brad deviated and try to play sneaky and took an exploitative route, ended up letting the dude turn a set and lose the max. 2. GTO would have to be fold to the all in 4 bet with your AJ off. He deviated again and lost the max. 3. Same with the A10 clubs but that one I can go either way. Because he was actually drawing to the nuts. And he did do it on the flop which gives him the best chance to hit with 2 cards to come. Now I'm not into GTO vs exploitative BS, my view on this is vastly different. But your comment was way off.

You're a great player Brad! But, I would like to write all these words regarding this video because we're all humans, anyway. There's too much gambling in both hands when you went all in and lost. Ace 10 weren't good to go all in for so much, also because it was already clear that your opponent had a set (sometimes, you've all four or five cards of the same suit on the board). So mathematically talking, it was a pure gambling. It would be more interesting to play many small hands instead of going all in for 2550 $ or more. Regarding the Ace Jack off suite, there was also too much gambling to go all in for the second time, for around 2000$. The game of poker isn't a Russian roulette ; there are so many interesting things that we can try while playing poker. Like for example, focus more on reading players, bluffing, acting when you've the nuts or a monster (a kind of winning hand when you would start to act to make your opponents thing that you're bluffing)... The game of poker requires a lot of things, and that's why we love this game ! Good luck next time; listen to your reason as well (not only to your emotions)!

Playing loose aggressive Style and calling a little too often makes for high variance poker sessions I prefer tight aggressive but I know when you start climbing up in the stakes you can't play to nitty year they'll run you over because it becomes a lot of Chip Warfare however I think with the ace Jack Han you could have just called $100 raise and then folded the Flop and save 1700 especially since you were out of position in the middle position guy made it a hundred to go I also think it's best to tighten up when you're running bad

Johnnie Vibes is in the same boat. He’s having to travel and play at different casinos that are outside his region. When you’re vlogging, you have to travel and play softer games. He’s on the road to try and turn his luck around. A $6k downswing is big! You either are going to crush 2/5 sessions for a month to grind back a portion of that, or double down and hope you can get back most of your losses in 5/10. A $6k downswing is a fear to make up, because you have to play well and get on the softest of tables. It could take several months to even start winning it back.

Hey Brad, I've been watching your vlog for a while and this video was so relatable. I took a big loss over this last weekend, one week after my biggest win. Thanks for the uploads, you've got a fan for life!

Very cool of you showing all this transparency Brad. It goes to show that even the very best players can get caught. I really appreciate it mate - nice one!
