I lose my dad to heart disease this past may (May 20th to be exact). He's the one who taught me how to play poker, we used to play at the kitchen table with pennies playing five card draw, follow the queen, midnight baseball, and seven card stud. Very cool that you got a moment to play alongside him. Sounds like you guys had a great time. Happy for you.

I love getting out “really anywhere” with either of my sons. For a parent it’s always special. You kids get older with your own responsibilities and friends and sometimes it feels just like cats in the cradle. Your dad is a really nice person and was fun to be around at the last meet up game. Some of the most amusing tables have been 1/3 or 1/2, I’ve had a guy get coolered nut flush vs straight flush, then the new kid to the table starts needling him and it’s an all out rap battle style roast war, mf middle aged Indian man vs a stuck up white kid, poor quiet dealer with not an ounce of assertiveness in his blood stuck in the crossfire 🤣

One time guy got a call from his wife/gf while he was in a hand- told her he was in the store and it took time to buy the diaper cause they were out.
