He's certainly being disingenuous in saying he knows nothing. He's an elite level pro who knows significantly more than the masses who love this sport. I sense a lot of frustration that he hasn't bridged the gap from where he was 3-4 years ago. Not only Jan at 40 still outperforming him but also a new breed coming thru such as Gustav and Blu. He has such a large following and a relatable backstory that I hope a lot of this is a front for the camera and he is still enjoying his journey. He's living a life so many of us can only dream of and he shouldn't lose sight of that.

Great stuff!!! Looking back at this video leading to the great performance in Chattanooga, do you think incorporating more of the long workouts at aerobic levels and this redistribution of total volume enabled a great long distance race? Many short and intense workouts would be good for speed at shorter races and these longer workouts at lower intensity would be key for the endurance and unlocking the long distance form? Super inspiring to look back at your season and how consistent you've been it is next level! Good rest and active recovery well deserved!

Since what you clearly need and want is advice from social media Lionel, here's my opinion based on absolutely nothing except anecdotal personal experience; I think the process of you handing over control of everything to the new coach and letting them do the thinking will result in the biggest leap you've had to date. I've had some of the "issues" you had in your younger years and getting my head out the way of my progress has really helped. I find that overthinking is lethal, a lot of the time, if not all the time. Really looking forward to the coming races from you.
