Slow and low is the difference for mine. I was doing level three. Aaahhh, now I know
@DorieWexler3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah girl do it slow and low and you’ll notice that not only will be inside cook but the outside will crisp up as well when you cook it higher it’s going to crisp up on the outside really fast but the inside is not gonna have an opportunity to firm up and cook up and solidify!

Is there certain veggie scraps you like best in these? I noticed it looked like you put in cabbage in the first one it looked like cabbage? Love the second one with the carrots though! Will def be trying these! 💖💖💖
@DorieWexler3 жыл бұрын
I usually throw in anything extra that I have… total randomness LOL ! I stay away from veggies that carry a lot of water though. The first waffle was cabbage, the 2nd waffle was carrots.

Hi Dorie! If I want to make a sweet waffle, I am thinking I would omit those seasonings you used in the original batter recipe. Do you have ant suggestions for a sweet waffle? Thanks! Btw…..Luuuuuv your channel!

6oz of raw batter is 3.8oz cooked would be 1/2 protein then? I didn’t understand where your full protein was in the waffle…
@DorieWexler3 жыл бұрын
hiya! I use 6 oz raw batter as my actual protein, because 6oz of the cooked batter is whatever form, was too much for me...I was soooo full. You can weigh out 6oz cooked (wraps, etc.) if that works for you, or balanced out the rest of your protein.

I tried making these with just the lentil batter and even though I sprayed the waffle maker the batter still stuck. Don’t know what I did wrong? Do I need to out an egg in it? Or cheese?
@DorieWexler2 жыл бұрын
Hi Laurie! This video tutorial has all the goodies mixed into the batter. I feel this helps. I've also made the waffles with just the Lentil Batter, and it works well, and is crisp! Which waffle maker are you using? Perhaps use less water in the lentils when mixing? If using just the lentil batter, I would recommend a thicker consistency on the batter. 😀 And yes, egg and cheese do help.

Need to cook it longer, dont open the waffle maker and just wait. At least 10min on my waffle iron
@caroleloomis14303 жыл бұрын
what is "quite a long time"?
@DorieWexler3 жыл бұрын
For the square waffles I was surprised that it took about 30 minutes. And I have to say I believe I can attribute this to the fact that this particular waffle maker while it’s great, it has no dial that allows you to increase or decrease the temperature of the waffle maker so it cooks it it cooks everything at one level so I believe that’s why it took so long. Because I multitask when I cook I don’t mind that it took 30 minutes because I was able to cut my vegetables cooked my other things and so on. 😁
