Super clean water. I bet it cost some money. But looks cool. I would relay more on natural forces to clean water. It would not be this clean but would be clean enough but less spent on it.

If you are paying attention you can see someone threw fish food in the water right before they began jumping about. That's pretty normal behavior at dinner time.

I would think running the water through a UV sterilizer would be about the only fish safe thing you can do. But I don't think it would be 100% effective.

Do they stick to surfaces or keep floating around? I don't know what I have got in my aquarium after I switched on the heater this winter. The best match I got so far from internet searches is "amoeba" but I doubt. Mine is sticking to surfaces

Mmmh, I don't think you'll ever get tomatoes with that kind of setup. Not enough nutrients for fruiting. Leafed vegetables (salad, chards,...) ok, but no fruits.
