Tried running bobcat airpak without a high capacity dryer. That rotary compressor makes A LOT of water when trying to run things like die grinder or 1/2 impact.

In my mind all in ones are a safety problem. No a/c or heater running in the truck. What happens when you been working by yourself and get to the edge of heat exhaustion? No place to go cool off. I dont live where its cold, but I imagine similar concerns.

I guess the electric systems will be popular in the future, you have a decent size battery and power converter so you can use your normal compressors, welders etc that you would normaly run inside a shop. Make choosing a vehicle much simpler since you dont need a PTO from the vehicle just a beefy alternator or a secondary 48v alternator.

I am with you. Old Miller wore out, got what you have a Bobcat air pack. I am just a road service, so don't work them as hard as you big boys do [or myself] . But I agree that the all in one is the way to go. I like that I can crank the air pressure up to 170 lbs for the one inch Air Cat. As a road service I do a lot of road side battery charging so I wired the battery charge feature to where I can go through the welding leads so as to be able to reach 50' behind service truck. I always have to be positioned directly in front of the truck being serviced. The difference between me and the big boys is that the curb side is the work side, the road side is the suicide, hence, the tooling is on the opposite side than the equipment guys. I recently bought a spool gun for mig aluminum, old Miller was a constant current machine, mainly 110 at idle and battery charging. Once again nice video!

The classic problem still remains....you are one belt or pulley (or whatever other cheap POS part they used) away from losing every function you need to go about your work. Now you've got a $25000 paper weight bolted to your truck. NICE.

My company has gasoline van-air compressors compressors. We don't like them unreliable and underpowered. We install dry and wet utilities it will not blow rope through 4" pipe.

no thanks, i rather have a separate compressor, welder, generator, or hydraulic supply, even service trailer instead of all on a truck. any one breaks down it wont stop me from using another truck or just replace the one thing that broke down, not waiting to repair the all in one or hoping when ill get my truck back
