Why didnt you mention all the good and interesting places which DO EXIST in Nong Khai??? What about the sculpture park, which is absolutely unique? Why no river cruise on the Mekong? Why dont you visit bars with locals and join drinks with them, especially on the river road there are good ones... Boring is not Nong Khai, but your lack of knowledge and interest in this nice hidden gem...
