Bionicle's writes realized something that I think not a lot of modern writers ever do: Never underestimate your audience, even if they are kids. Tell the deep story you want to tell, and if you tell it well enough, people will rise to the occasion.

I remember listening to this song on our home computer in the earlier days of KZbin after playing bionicle heroes while my little brothers watched. We bonded so much over Bionicle and the heroic tales. I’m 26 and still return to these awesome memories. One of the best things about the bionic chronicle is that it taps into our human instinct to want to be good and help others no matter the difficulties. Maybe it sounds silly that a “kids Lego story” impacted my life so much, but I have always carried this awesome universe with me and have really taken to heart the human messages it brings.

I seriously do not know how, a children's toy brand somehow managed to shape who I am, and my taste in music permanently. I am also 26 with similar stories. I remember roller blading around my house with my CD player in hand listening to move along with my old wired headset.

Bionicle is part what shaped me into the man I am today. I’m an author and a musician, and both my writing style and lore development is highly influenced by the epic story, and my compositional and lyrical ideas are heavily influenced by the unbelievably good soundtrack this franchise carried - in ambient themes from the online game, TV-spot bangers like AIK and Cryoshell’s fantastic tracks - the way-too-good movie soundtracks and even Bionicle Heroes’s OST (which was awesome, but I think the composers were on crack) - all of it has shaped me into an ambient-post-rock-DNB-alternative-metal musician. I only have this series to thank for it. It’s aged like a fine wine.

Honestly, I miss the Technic Blue vs Purple sets, as well as the Throwbots/cycles that came before Tahu and Kopaka first stepped out of their capsules...though the flash game where you played as Takua was quite good as well.

Mnog is the name of the game that you described in the final sentence links: biosector01.com/wiki/Mata_Nui_Online_Game info, biomediaproject.com/bmp/play/web-games/mnog/ and where you can play it (please note that this requires Adobe Flash Player) this text was made by a Bionicle fan

Bionicle was my childhood. Always enjoyed playing with Bionicle, and I read the comics they had. Was always digging deep into its lore, stories, cultures, and such.

I haven't this song in a long long time, and it's not half bad. Much better then Caught In A Dream in my honest opinion though.

Caught in a Dream was boring. Not shitty, but significantly lacking something.

+Tom Hancock Remember when they offered MP3 files of all the Bionicle songs free for download on their site? I went to the Way Way Back Machine or whatever the site is called and found the old version of their Bionicle site and you can still download them haha.

I remember when I started 5th grade, we all had to write a little bio of ourselves with some of our favorite things. I wrote down "Do you have what it takes to be a hero" as my favorite song after hearing it ONCE in a Bionicle commercial.
