Great stuff as always! Does anyone else feel like we are living in a pressure cooker these days? As I listen to the news each day, my jaw is in a permanent state of dropping. Just when you thought you had heard or seen it all, another story comes in that shocks us. I feel like the world and all that we have held dear and taken for granted for our whole lives seems to be crumbling right before our eyes. Do I put my head in the sand, or keep my eyes open and go completely nuts? Neither choice seems to be that great. What is happening to the human race??? Thank you all for your examples.

Haha you're not the only one that feels this way 😅 it's so hard to see what is going on in the world and to see friends and family cheering on this evil. I had to stop watching mainstream media and I got rid of Facebook and Twitter. I felt like the message to me in conference was to let go of this world and focus on Jesus. The world is supposed to fall apart at this time so we need to stop thinking we can stop it from falling apart and just focus on our Savior. it's still so hard to watch but it will soon be over.

Whenever my youngest son & I would go with the youth to do baptisms, every time I walked into the Nauvoo temple doors, I would whisper, "Father, I'm home". I wish there was a way to just stay there ALL the time. When my sister & I were sealed to our parents, 47yrs ago, when I was only 5yrs, my sister was 3yrs, we were holding hands, skipping down the hall going to the sealing room to meet our parents, we were singing "I'm a Child of God". I still remember that. Being in the temple is so humbling & special. I have so much joy becuz I'm closer to my Father & Savior. I just wanted to share that with you. Love you, Bro & Sis Palmer!! ❤⚘🤟

The ease in Zion, today, is well nigh evident, sadly. The unHoly alliances in many ways is heading for trouble & I saw this back in the 80’s where men who had never served a full - time mission, as a lad, were being called to high offices in the church based on their secular prowess in the marketplace as we look at the last two first presidencies not one man had served a f/t mission as a younger fellow thru their teens. And even Pres Hinckley wanted to leave his mission in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 except that his father persuaded him to learn to forget h/self & go to work.

I’ve always wondered why people don’t seem to take his warnings seriously? We believe in a book that explicitly calls us out with the “all is well in Zion” attitude. We also have been told it’s harder for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than a rich person to get into heaven, and yet all I ever hear is “it’s not a sin to have money, just to love money”. The attitude I get from everyone in Utah (generally, not calling anyone out) is that we make excuses for why we are okay and just keep doing what we are doing. There are many examples of him calling us out. Although I believe in grace, I constantly look to these warnings and question if I’m caught in the attitude of excusing myself. One big one is “many of the elect shall be deceived”. Too often people brush that off as people who leave the church. We (and I) need to be much less certain of ourselves and really question “am I being deceived?”. Be open to the idea that WE could be the ones being deceived, and constantly reassess our understanding. Even though I’m conservative, I constantly look for other opinions with an open mind to check myself and make sure I am not just “going with the flow”. On a side note, I just found out that the USA is central to jerUSAlem! Pretty neat!

We as a church have fallen in love with Babylon. We will do almost anything to justify our unrighteous. Seriously if we loved God and wanted to serve him we would shun worldly wealth like a plague. There is always someone else in greater need. When we hoard physical wealth we are saying we love Babylon more than God.

When I've went to the temple and left the world behind it's like walking into a pool of the spirit, it a wonderful, warm, & loving feeling which to me is a lot like it was before we came here. To me going just to fill a quota is much like if was home teaching when we went the last week/day of the month. We need to do better!! But also as I was listening I was thinking it isn't just about our temple attendance it how we live our lives each & everyday, how we not only treat people but also how we think & feel about all around us. In the Temple we all are in White and are the same. But when we put back on our clothes and walk out do we see people the same way? In the temple we are all one but even in our church meeting there seems to be more and more a divide!! Covid has caused some major divides!! We need to be one in Christ like we are when we attend the Temple!!! Thank you Brother for enlightening my mind & my heart!!!

I agree with group temple nights, they can easily become focused on the wrong thing. That being said, I believe they can be a blessing to many. My first experiences going to the temple were with youth groups which grew my love for the temple until I went by myself weekly. I wasn't raised in a home where temple attendance was normal thing. I will forever be grateful for the quarterly youth temple groups that kindled that fire in my soul. Really enjoy your videos, thank you!

This was eye opening for me! Thank you for explaining a different insight into the "all is well in Zion" theme. I used to really enjoy the ward temple night. The comradery, seeing faces that I know and love around me but now I see it in a different light. I felt the love and acceptance of my fellow members but was my mind fully engaged in my real purpose for being there? Was I being as intensional? Looking back I can say no I was not. 😞. It truly was more of a social gathering. I will add one caveat. As one who has suffered from panic attacks and severe anxiety I can see how some may feel a need to have familiar faces around them to give them the courage to even go. I became the equivalent of a hermit for quite some time until I figured things out. I know it sounds crazy but I had trouble going anywhere alone. I still do on a bad day. It can truly be debilitating at times. Fun for the whole family! 🤪🥴. Anyway, I'm sure you've already considered that and have compassion for those of us who have "issues". It goes without saying but you're awesome that way. Thanks again for opening my eyes! Yet another thing to ponder and repent of. Much love 💕

The last time I went to the Temple I had streams of tears of sorrow because I thought the world had creeper into this sacred place. Honestly, if ANY man is in the Temple we bring "the world" into it. I kept apologizing for my bad attitude to the person I was doing work. When Jesus starting cleaning house with the money exchangers at the Temple, I am sure there were imperfect and immature people who were there with good intentions according to their capacity to think and do good. Maybe it was Ward Temple day and some were kicked out and others allowed to carry on. We are judged by are desires of are hearts and our works. I just plan to expand my capacity to love like Jesus did.

I think every day almost,that what we are in this Church is grappling with learning how to tap into the same peace that Jesus was able to have HIMSELF and is able to give to us....that indescribable feeling , which only comes of HIM. It seems that so many people in the world want this peace by removing themselves from all things that make them feel uncomfortable. The thing is, that an absence of stressors in life might feel great and peaceful....but it isnt HIS peace. Its just an absence of stimulus. What Christ is teaching us is how to have that peace no matter what we are facing. I have never heard of so much personal challenge as I have from members of the Church close to me at this time. I wonder how much of this is merciful preparatory education, before greater tribulation?

Hey Brother Palmer my Greatest take away from the times we are in and my stance is that we need to be kind, and respectful to eachother, remain one in purpose with Heavenly Father's Plan, and being that I believe a Temporal Suffering will be endured for not acting upon the afformentioned Urgings, being that I sustain President Nelson as a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator I'm not going to discount what he says lightly, and...and for every day we exist on this Earth its because God allows it. Woah! That would be difficult! We temple workers have been told to no longer comment on nail polish, jewelry and earrings etc. I asked our matron about sisters hiking up and I’m their garments to wear the latest fashions- she said to say nothing, but to know that the wearing of sacred clothing properly shows a reverence for the temple and our covenants. Makes sense- but sometimes my eyes do big out! One young sister came in I’m skimpy clothing, jeans with the ever popular tearing and long dangly earrings that made noise when she turned her head. I had to remember when I joined the Church many years ago, that all I owned were blue jeans, boots and flannel shirts (living in the woods of Alaska). I did see a dress that was too low. I paid attention to the sisters and the next week added another piece in the front of the dress. So, hopefully our examples of modesty and reverence for sacred clothing will be an influence on most!❤️

Thanks for your take on temple attendance. Sometimes I have felt a bit guilty as I listen to talks, mostly from general authorities, about the “unselfish” service given by those attending the temple as I generally go to the temple for myself. To learn, worship, feel closer to God, etc. I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that often I give very little thought to those on the other side of the veil for whom I am participating in the ordinances. I hardly feel I am performing a service, but rather on the receiving end of service.

I learned recently from a ear/nose and throat specialist that the only way to uptake the vasodilator nitric oxide is through sinus/nose breathing. If there is even a 1/4 restriction there-then it restricts the vasodilation in the throat by 1/2. And the entire body is exponentially effected. I confirmed this with 2other specialists. It’s important to make sure you have no sinus restriction and if you do -get it fixed.

So here's how I look at the witnesses. I think that both Elijah and John gave their keys to Joseph Smith, which would likely leave their power in the last dispensation's hands. Plus, if its them, it kind of infers that God can only display miraculous powers through his ancient prophets which weakens our current ones ("I've got a miracle to perform, but I'm afraid you just don't have what it takes, Modern Prophet"). Wouldn't it be a cool thing to see a guy from down the street laying the smack down on the bad guys? "In my opinion" haha

John the Baptist and John the Beloved both assisted in the restoration through ordination of Joseph Smith to the Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthood, but that didn't include giving any keys, did it? I don't see how priesthood keys has any bearing on John the Beloved/Revelator being possibly one of the 2 witnesses in Jerusalem. We'll eventually find out, in this life or from the other side, won't we. 😉 Keeping watch!
@Paanchiman

@@happyfence6340 I think any action performed by the authority of the priesthood requires keys either held or delegated. The keys of the restoration likely oversee many if not most of the events of the winding up scene. I agree that we will see soon enough. I just think we have enough good guys available and able, we don't need to bring in the honor guard to bail us out. They performed their tasks most honorably but our prophets are just as capable I'd imagine. I'll be looking forward to it regardless.

Perhaps your original premise which is that “ The House of The Lord” absolutely and uniquely apply to the Temple. There is a larger House of The Lord I believe that connotes The House of Israel. And the House of Israel includes all who proclaim to follow Christ. With this broader definition in mind we can readily see many ways that these prophecies are being fulfilled. Just a thought.
