You are a fountain of knowledge Maikel. I must visit this show next year. I lived in Berlin for a number of years and love Germany as a car loving nation. The last car you showed, the black 3.8 roadster with red interior was missing the JAGUAR badge on the boot! I don't understand the price of these cars sometimes, when they were built in their thousands. Beautiful works of art none the less.

Good day @railtourinfo8809, thank you for watching. The Techno Classica claims to be the biggest classic car show in the world. For me as an E Type maniac it is probably the only place apart from EAGLE to see that many E Types. The show is huge, all kind of suppliers, tools, parts, manufacturers, clubs etc ... you can not see all in just one day. Regarding the cars, well spotted, I did not go into every detail, just wanted to create awareness that not all what is shiny is also good. Many people get tempted to believe that in a glamorous surrounding also everything is perfect. Always best to have someone with some good knowledge and a cool mind with you when buying a car. Where are you located now?

Thankyou Maikel . You really are the "go to " connoisseur ! You were picking faults from 10 meters ! Some of the prices were realistic and some not ! But as l always say you can drop the price but you can not raise the price ! Is the "camera man "your good lady ? She has the patience of a saint ! Thankyou Maikel .....top drawer !

Thank you for watching John, I have made up my own conclusion about prices and why they differ so much for an almost identical car. Several factors do play a role. But totally agree with you 👍

Good day RMO, the blue OTS was actually sold not too long ago for 78.000 USD in US. Check out xkedata. Now it is 120 k € 😯😲 To sum it up, prices are high at the dealers, or let's say where the buyer finds his way. As a single individual, you would never be able to ask such prices for such cars in your local village unless you are privileged. The show will be packed during the weekend from people all over Europe and I have the impression, that all the E types will not be shown at another show again. What does it tell?

Hi Paul, many thanks for watching. You guess, it was the blue OTS who received most of my attention. The others are almost all the same and not much left from the original. 😪😪😪

There's often a little water inside the headlamps particularly after it's been washed I know I own one 1964 - never seems to hurt so to speak
@JaguarEType

Hello, it does not hurt when you wash the car because you are not driving but it shows it is not sealed. Imagine you are driving in the rain, water comes in, and from the heat of the headlight it will evaporate and creates fog inside the headlamp. I can well imagine it will reduce your visibility especially at night in the rain.

Its not really that sealed, and or its not that hot, I have never seen condensation on the light bulb surface or underside of glass lens in the 30 yers that i have owned it. That said, yes the light through the lens (clear) is dispersed which hurts and is why the feds made them remove the lens. How ever it is also true I have never driven in the rain, but plenty of times in the dark. And I don't hot rod in the jag, its worth to much, so i'm not worried about the degree of illumination. I do that in my 1990 lotus elan or my 2012 Ginetta G20 . So to your point of worrying and thinking the 1-1/2 is better I say stay with the style element ( series 1)@@JaguarEType

They need to be perfect to start with otherwise you will soon lose passion. I had one of such cars and got frustrated, start all new from scratch with a project and works perfectly since. But I know exactly what you are talking about, a common issue sadly. Does not need to be that way!! Sorry you have made that experience.

@@JaguarEType I owned my two Jags years ago. It was LOVE and hate both. They are so beautiful but so very fragile. As one grows older, we realize that the whole point is getting from A. to B. safely and reliably. When we're young, we seldom think about that sort of thing and I certainly never did. My first Jag was a '66 roadster that I purchased while stationed in Germany in the late 60's. Shipped it to the US when I got discharged and drove it across the USA on Route 80 stopping at several places to visit some military buddies. The car actually made it without incident all the way home to the Bay Area but soon started falling apart. I traded that car in on a '69 Corvette 3x2 427/435 which I still own and drive today at age 76. It still runs and drives great with 180,000 miles on the clock and it's more fun to drive than any car I've ever owned. I've owned a lot of cars!! It does everything better than the Jag and has been literally been a safe and reliable car for over 50 years. Other than normal, consumable parts it's what a car should be. Enjoy your Jag, bro'. They are still truly beautiful.

Overall prices seemed rather optimistic. But then again - there is so much movement in all directions right now in classic cars in general. So hard to keep track and stay current. I wonder if series 3 cars catch up in price eventually. Anyway thanks for the roundup! Cheers!

Good day, that is why I thought, and I cam to a logical conclusion for this. Have not seen a S3 FHC nor a S2 nor a S1 2+2, only the best models for each class. Which are S1 OTS + FHC, S2 OTS and S3 OTS. Those seem to be the most desired and are worth exposing to generate some cash. IMO
