Part 2 Jason is basically "objective patrol". Use his quick morph (it's one of his strengths) to quickly travel from one objective to another, and lock those objectives down with the traps.

Chezzy Gamer maybe u dont kno wat defensive is... if ur jason has low defense, you have a chance of getting hit even if you block. At the pro level, his negative shift can cost him at stopping cars, and other things aswell. But ofcourse any jason is good if your playing public matches.

In defense of "Slasher" Jasons: Look, I get it. The motion capture work done by Kane Hodder is deliciously brutal. But let's be real here: there are some VERY aggressive counselor players out there. When you're dealing with a group of counselors who are all armed to the teeth with bats, pipes, wrenches, and pocket knives, and all take turns smacking Jason while repairing objectives, you kind of don't have a choice but to slash. Try picking up a counselor and there always seems to be another one waiting to smack down your grab kill. In situations like that, slashing is acceptable IMO. That's one big reason why I like playing as Part 4 Jason: no mercy with the pig splitter. I especially love when they call you a garbage Jason for resorting to slashing in that situation. But will still call you garbage if you go for grab kills and can't get any because of said counselors ganging up on Jason.

Learn how to block, slash, & block better. I thoroughly enjoy walking into a group of well armed counselors watching them trying to futilely beat the hell out of me breaking their weapons and expediting me into rage mode just that much quicker. Blocking is your friend. Just exercise patience and savor the hunt / kill. Trust me. Counselors will be more than willing to engage you attacking you thinking they are safe when they're in a group. Just block.

I think Jason X should be a separate Jason from Uber Jason. Jason X: Strengths - + More Hit Points (takes a beating in the film) + Weapon strength (One of the strongest physical displays in the franchise) + Grip strength (likewise) Weaknesses - - Can't run - Traps - Water Speed (he doesn't swim in the movie) An unbalanced Jason who excels in combat but has a harder time controlling the map. He won't get bullied, but it's a little easier to escape him than others.

My list 8: Part 7;reasons; The Jason is awesome looking and I like how he has water speed and weapon strength is pretty good too, however he only starts with 3 traps, he gets knocked out easily and that’s annoying, as well as he can’t run, if it comes to looks no Jason beats him. 7: Part 3;reasons; This Jason has 2 great strengths other than he can run, his grip strength and his weapon strength, and I like the fact he is the first hockey masked killer, however like Part 7 his Stun Resistance is terrible and it’s annoying to get knocked down, and his sense and stalk regeneration is trash. 6: Part 2;reasons; This Jason is the trapper type, with him having the most traps at 7 traps, his morph is good and he can run, but if you try to get someone out of a boat, don’t choose him, his water speed is bad, shift sucks, and his defense is garbage, at least he has hair once he is unmasked, and it’s creative how he wears a potato burlap sack. 5: Part 5;reasons; Also known as Roy Burns, Part 5 Jason is pretty okay, but not entirely good. I like how he has a good amount of throwing knives, he can run, and can sneak up on people good, however like Part 7 and 3, his Stun Resistance sucks, like Part 2 his defense is trash, and he has bad grip strength. This Jason is a mediocre Jason in stats, his look is pretty good, blue chevrons instead of red, and this Jason is pretty good. But the game could pick any weapon in the toolshed, and they choose a damn pair of garden shears, just don’t use it. 4: Part 6;reasons; It was tough, but Part 6 makes Number 4, he is pretty dang good, his 3 strengths(Throwing Knives, Shift, Sense) are awesome, he might not have the best weapon when you start with him, but once you get weapon selection this Jason is really good, but the defense, the fact he can’t run, and his morph could make him sometimes easy, but sometimes tricky to use. Time for my top 3(in my opinion) 3: Part 9;reasons; I know people hated Part 9 Jason for his traps, and he can’t run, I totally understand that, but damn, that shift is just ridiculous, his Stun Resistance is pretty good, and can reduce chances to being stunned, his weapon is awesome, the 3 kills it has is awesome, and the look of this Jason is friggin badass as hell(literally), even though he might not be the worldwide favorite, he sure is my favorite. 2: Part 4;reasons; This Jason is one of the 3 Jason’s that have the awesome destruction ability, his 3 normal kills are great and if you buy the other 3 they look better, his amazing Pig Splitter weapon can break doors down not only in 3 hits, but pretty fast, however he just lost out on number 1 because his water speed, shift, and traps aren’t the best, however this Jason is still awesome and I very much use him on a daily basis. 1: Part 8;reasons; This Jason is freaking overpowered his water speed is like a dream, his destruction is crazy and his stalk makes him perfect for sneaking up on people, he’s been some people’s favorite and he’s also my favorite, even though he has bad grip strength and he sense regen is low, I’m not gonna take it away from that fact that this Jason is ridiculous, and if your at or almost at level 20 and have access to this Jason, he is definitely a Jason worth using in the game. I don’t have Savini Jason, so that’s why he’s not on the list, this is my opinion, okay don’t get mad at me just cuz Jason's that are your favorite aren’t high. This took me forever to type so plz give me respect for it.

Radioactive Raven gonna have to disagree with part 9 being above part 6. The real reason ppl hate 9 is because his “supposed” stun resistance strength does nothing. U can stun him just like any other Jason, u know why? Because every motherfucker runs sucker punch. Another reason ppl hate 9 is he has a weakness no other Jason has and that’s less hit points meaning he can take less melee attacks and therefore is the easiest Jason to demask and possibly kill if tommy isn’t a retard. Other than the insane shift I consider 9 average. I wouldn’t put him above 6 who has an insane shift and more. Also 6 doesn’t have any detrimental weaknesses. His Morph isn’t terrible, defense just block or juke melee attacks

Michael Kirk I know your not a big Part 9 fan, I originally wasn’t, but after I got used to only having 3 traps and getting over less hit points, it became very easy for me to use part 9. I completely understand that part 9 isn’t your cup of tea, but if you just give the dude a chance and use him well, he’s a powerhouse. And just because these counselors have sucker punch, it’s still difficult to stun Part 9, and I’m pretty sure your not taking his ability to get out of stuns easily seriously, plus, less hit points is easy to prevent. I always block to prevent them from trying to knock my mask off, and it’s different from defense, one increase the chance of your unmasking, but the other has an increase of your unmasking, and a decrease of your blocking. I know he’s Part 9, and he’s been given a lot of hate, but he’s not really terrible at all Sorry dude, but I love using this Jason and nothing you can say is gonna change my opinion, he’s a powerhouse. Not to mention Part 6 isn’t great either, you can’t rely on Part 6's shift to go to both of your objectives, which is the phone and the car, because his morph is really bad. Your thinking it’s not important, we’ll it is because, you need it to get to places instantly, it’s range and regen of it is trash, and objective control is way easier with Part 9, because of his OK morph and great shift, which outweighs Part 6’s Crap Morph and Great Shift. Plus, Part 6 has defense as a weakness, his mask can be knocked off easily too, plus he can’t block the attacks. Don’t believe me check the Fridaythe13thGame Wiki. I hope this can solidify and discard the hate Part 9 has been given, and if not, I tried, I really did.

I usually avoid Jason's with bad water speed and low traps. My favorite is part 6, having that really good shift stops the cars, Vanessa players, lots of throwing knives, and enough bear traps.

Part 2 is my safe Jason, but I also trap spots that people use, but don't think about. When Laphin first used Jason, he showed me (and every lobby he destroyed) how to be not only an effective Part 2 Jason, but most on-brand Jason.

@@SlashNCast I must find these Counselors. I had some troll ones a few weeks ago that I was having a back and forth with and I decided to run Part 2. They gave me hell for sure and I thought they were going to show me up, by escaping, but next minute, they've gone for the sweater. I trapped the road alongside Jarvis and shifted through and slashed a few, before they knocked my sack off. They went to kill me, but I think I was standing on, or near one of the traps and it interrupted the interactive over and over, so I got back off my knees and started slashing, hobbling some, some stepping in the traps on accident, forgetting about them and I just took my time finishing them off.

Honestly I think Part 4 is the worst Jason. His only advantages are strength and that he can sprint. He has 3 traps, terrible morph, terrible shift, no throwing knives to start and has terrible water speed. Once someone starts the car it’s pretty much over unless a moron is driving. Same with the boat. Only morons can get caught by a part 4 in the water.

Back when I was playing, I had Jason spawn preference and had him set to random. I got part two, and I was up against some people I knew used Discord to coordinate (because I had been in their Discord before), and they are/were all good players. There was a boat that they got started, and someone started heading toward the exit. I checked the map and saw they had turned around, so I turned on stalk, morphed into the water near to them, and tipped the boat as a second person was swimming toward it. Drowned them both, both of them counted twice because of a bug, and killed all of rest of the counselors for a 10/8. Those people brought out the best in me (I usually got 5/ or 6 out of 8), and later in the week I got a 9/8 against them with part four Jason.

Part 8 is the best. Destruction is great, decent shift and morph. Water speed is awesome. Pick him and play Higgins small. No one has a chance cause you can swim back and forth and use your sense and you'll know where everyone is all the time.

It's so easy with Part 2 Jason..especially on the big maps where there's only one car and a boat. If you know what you're doing, you can catch boats with Part 2 Jason and pretty easily, actually..just watch the boat on the map and go into stalk and morph into the water ahead of the boat..it's all about timing and morphing to a good spot just ahead of the boat. Also with Part 2 Jason, if I'm on a big or small map, I'll put one trap on the 4 seater..I don't even bother with the 2 seater...and I put one trap on the phone box..I'll put the rest of my traps at the entrance to my shack. I've killed so many people attempting to get the sweater because they are limping after they get past my two levels of traps (2 in the front row and 3 in the back row..side to side as close to each other as possible right in front of the entrance of the shack.)..if they even make it in there to begin with..I get a butcher kill on a lot of them. I've only had someone get past those traps with pocket knives 3 or 4 times out of like 100 matches as Part 2 Jason since I started doing it..I killed all 3 or 4 of them though and all but one immediately..one was a level 150 Vanessa with 3 pocket knives..she ended up with freaking 4 pocket knives total though..one she used on me when I picked her up outside of my shack, two she used to set off two of my traps and the other I guess she found at a campfire or in a cabin while I was stalking and chasing her around..a complete pain in the ass. It was bullshit..I did finally get her though..and still got 8/8 kills and destroyed all of the gens.

My ranking from worst to best: part 7, mainly because none of his strengths are good for my playstyle, he used to be really bad, he looks cool, but traps are a big minus. Part 5, i don't like how he is an imposter, and I feel roy is overrated. How terrible he is against any weapon he is stunned so easily. Even with rage buff, when you get shot or stunned by pamelas sweater ( which happens often since i always try to kill jason and end up being jason) and the main reason I don't like part 5 is noobs, slashers, and assholes have ruined him for me. Part 9, I love his shift and stalk, but his traps really brings him down for me. Part 2, Love the traps and morph, however, easy to kill and shit shift. Part 4, I love his destruction, but i don't slash, however when going up against a max level or a group of counselors, it can be great. But, with how shitty his shift and traps are, it really brings this jason down. Part 3, the first jason with the hockey mask, none of his strengths or weaknesses impact that much, making him a well rounded and fun jason. Part 6, jason from my favorite movie and also fav looking(in the game favorite looking). His knives and shift are amazing. His morph is a fairly big downside, but this jason is still great. Part 8, destruction is only stat that stands out, but he has good traps, good shift and none of his weaknesses matter, which makes part 8 a truly brutal killing machine. Savini, has shift and destruction as strengths, those two if i were making my own jason strengths i would want shift traps and destruction. Only downside is his availability.

A general question...why the hate on the part 6 spear/graveyard fence post? You can knock down doors with a quickness while not being on top of the door to do it and catching a cheap stun. You have reach advantage in combat stance in combat vs counselors. To me, the spear is the weapon of choice in the game if you're not free swinging it around.

Part 7 - He’s a lot better then what he used to be but in my opinion he’s just not overall that strong Part 4 - I’m a fan of walking Jason’s especially with increased shift and other supernatural abilities so part 4 with his slow shift automatically puts him low on the list for me Part 2- I really like his objective control potential that is really over looked but again slow shift Part 3 - part 3 is just overall solid, he’s a starting Jason for a reason and I don’t mind at all having to play as him Part 8- I do really like part 8 but I just haven’t ever really but a big fan of him, I just don’t play as him often and he just seems overall slow to me I don’t know why Part 5- Just like with slash n cast I have part 5 as the second best, he’s a very good Jason overall, I love how sneaky he can be and the throwing knives are a nice touch, he can adapt well to any map also Part 9- part 9 is my absolute favorite Jason, I love playing as him, he has an incredible shift and stalk, getting people to come out the window after they think I leave when I use stalk is so satisfying, pairing his increased stalk with increased shift is very good, most importantly i want to mention his stun resistance because I think it gets overlooked a lot, even if counselors have perks to increase there stun rate which you might think would cancel out the fact he has a less chance of being stunned don’t over look the fact he gets out of the stun state fast, i feel like when i get stunned as j9 i get out of it a lot faster then other Jason’s and it’s awesome, he as average water speed which is good, less traps I can manage no problem, less hit points aren’t a big deal at all as well. You guys should definitely do the ranking of Jason's looks though I agree that Part 7 will win for sure. When it comes to ranking them in terms of playablity however, I like to switch it up a lot though I find myself using either Part 6 or 8 the most for many reasons. Part 8 is an absolute beast though and with that Jason, I always clear the lobby quickest. I think he's just overall the best. EDIT: I have to mention that although I love playing as Part 9, his mask comes off ridiculously quick. I never got why it was that Jason they gave the less hit points to considering the mask is literally stuck to his face.

Part 8 is my favourite because of his destruction and stalk, plus his water speed on bigger maps is clutch (niche, but clutch). Part 4 can run, but technically part 8 is faster to me because of the much better shift, also decent weapon strength and more traps than part 4. Part 4 has a lot of weaknesses that I don’t like (hate not having shift, water speed and traps).

Retro Jason is a skin for part 3. You can change skins by press in on our right analog stick when selecting Jason's. At a higher level, you will be able to access bloody skins for every Jason.

J5 is the most all around Jason. No weaknesses in his 4 powers, extra knives to start, and 5 traps. Shears are cool and break doors faster b/c of the speed, but you can switch weapons when high level enough anyway. He's not my fav, but he's excellent. I rock with J8 and J2. J6 is cool too. I love em all actually. Parts 7 and 9 are close to being as balanced as J5 but they're missing the traps to be so.

Nah, Part 3 is the best. Running is the best attribute. Weapon strength lets him actually somewhat contend against Jason Kill squads since you can slash them down quicker. And, little known fact, in rage, he actually has by far the longest sense in the game. Probably a glitch, but he can sense from half the map away.
