I'm still confused on the difference between で へ and に? can someone please explain?
@VoylinsLife4 жыл бұрын
First of all, let me explain how to use に. We use に to indicate the direction of the movement. We often use it with 来ます(come) or 行きます (go)or 帰ります(go back). へ also means the direction of the movement, so you can use it in a same way. 駅へ行く(えきへいく)=駅に行く(えきにいく)going to the station. But i would say the difference between へ and に is ....へ emphasizes its direction , on the other hand にemphasizes its point of the place or purposes. に also can be used to say“ time”, or “the place where you keep staying at”. ○7時に行きます。 I will leave at 7 ○お風呂に入ります。 I will take a bath We use で as ”at” not “to” like に or へ. ○学校でランチを食べました。 we had a lunch at school ✕駅で行きました ○駅へ行きました ○駅に行きました we went to the station Other way of using で is as “by”and “reason.” ○包丁で野菜を切ります。 I cut vegetables by/with the knife ○病気で休みます。 I am calling in sick I hope this explanation will be helpful for you. You can't really boil down all the n5 grammar into a 10 minute video but good effort. I would say the first 13 chapters of Minna no nihongo don't really require much work once you've finished them. Rest of the chapters require a ton of practice to be able to use them effectively while speaking
@WanganTunedKeiCar2 жыл бұрын
I'm personally struggling to work using Minna no Nihongo. I have a translations and explanations document, but do you have any tips?
@VoylinsLife2 жыл бұрын
Minna no Nihongo is a very good book, but for self studying it requires a lot more work compared to Genki. My tips are, go slowly. Languahe learning is not a race and if you go too fast you will strugle and more easily forget things. Second tip, use flashcards, you ccan use anything like Anki, Memrise or paper. Each day, before you start studying using the books, review your flashcards. I remember that I kept starting over with those books, but I was able to finish them by not limiting myself to.those books. Yes they are great learning materials, but always remember that there is are multiple ways of studying/learning Japanese. I also used Human Japanese, other Memrise courses, JLPT study materials, Videos, websites, ... Most importantly, don't give up. 😉
@veryonlineman2 жыл бұрын
@@WanganTunedKeiCar Well you can't really aquire proficiency from Minna no nihongo books alone. I studied from an institute. If we were just going by those books, more than half the students wouldn't even be able to pass N4. Those books are good from practice but not enough for self study. After that, you should pick up marugoto and irodori books. Students drastically improve after finishing the marugoto and irodori stuff and easily pass n4 and have much higher listening and speaking ability
