Yeah it's insane how easy it is to counterspark with this stance compared to the other... One thing i wish i could do i equip three different style on two different katana. So i could switch between 6 stances in a fight

Mumbai ryu is a giant Rurouni kenshin reference, specially saito hajime

The triangle ma for tennen risshin ryu is really really good. The amount of times an enemy will enter the panicked state is often overlooked, especially since applying an ailment auto triggers panic. Also, you can grab them out of their dodges or ma's if youre close enough.

Okay so i know its not recommended for a shinobi stance on midnight but i like the challenge so between hayabusa ryu and gikei ryu which one you think would be the better one for midnight difficulty?

It depends on playstyle. Hayabusa is more for close combat & gikei is more for ranged combat.

I was hoping before release that they'd give us the Izuna Drop from Ninja Gaiden, and they delivered. Also worth noting that the Shadow Clone MA for Gikei-ryu can have the same interruption effect you get with a handgun, if you throw the kunai at the right time. The enemy often fails to defend against the following strike.

Another part for Yagyu Shinkage Ryu, the the X attack if you wind it up long enough deals fire buildup. It’s one of only three martial skills that can do that I believe.

Yup. But recent update pretty much balances all the OP damage for those MA skills. It doesn’t do very high damage as it used to. It’s still ok but not as good as before.

I’m not sure you can. The max level is 110. So pretty much it’s around 700+ atk.

You can use it as a veiled art in other stances once reach mastery. Cancel is more for chaining combo with different weapons and stances with different MA. But only recommended for short combo since there are many bosses will counter your MA towards the end in midnight.

​​@@gelgabanyea it was confirmed he canceled it with switching to different stance so instead of goin thru the whole cardinal rend animation he canceled to where only the cardinal wreck animation is being used which is the second slash after the rend but no video how he did it yet

@@x_NB3 it’s just about speed & a good working controller 😅. When You change stance or weapon at the last frame, You immediately activate the next MA So you cancel violent gale / Flash attack and move to your next MA. Requires lots of practice. Flashy but not really effective in ronin. Takes too long to defeat an enemy. More effective in games like ghost of Tsushima where the cancellation helps improve overall speed and damage by a huge margin. But in here most of the major damage comes from critical strike & confusion by 2 or more status effects. So these effects plus counterspark is more effective to make enemy panic and reduce their Ki faster enabling to deal critical strikes more faster. Further more Violet gale/ flash attack deals quite a damage and has its on effects which can be quite powerful if build right.

Is there a veiled art for Jigen ryu katana?

Typically all stances 3rd skill will be the veiled art. However there are some unique veiled arts that can be only learned by doing certain task. Example the Nioh Ryu quick draw is learned by praying shrine or the crimson light learned by defeating set number of fugitives etc.. which is a unique veiled art that can be used in all katana stances.

No, the more popular term is just Kage ryu, the sword art in which Shinkage ryu came from famously used by a swordsaint

I'm sorry but Gikei Ryu is op. You can beat any boss by spaming shadow haze(R1 + X). Even on Midnight difficulty. Just pop a super ki, super power up, and electrify your Katana and any boss is easy.

That’s the izuna drop from dead or alive and ninja gaiden not nioh

Yeah it was popularized in ninja Gaiden but it was originally from a manga. It quickly was adapted to many games during the early era of gaming and team ninja has been using it in pretty much most of their games and was last seen in the Nioh series. They skip it in Wo long and brought it back in Ronin.

Jigen ryuu in reallife is focused in full power in the initial attack, my sensei taught me that never block jigenryuu initial attack, it will back fire you haha

Gensai Kawakami has to be out in the open world somewhere his attack he does in front of him has to be a special attack no way they have him that and the one random boss an attack that the player never gets 😢 also LI has a cool attack too
