Boss I will give you two quick tips for this ignition. On that year Chevy the ones that use the Z keyway. You do not need to remove the bottom half of the shroud and the tilt steering wheel lever. All you have to do is remove the top of the shroud. The second tip is you don't need to pry the metal band around the ears. Just take a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer. Just tap the ears in a few places and the ears will pop off without any damage. The rest of your example is good. I am just trying to save everyone time. Keep up the good work

I made a set of the "jiggle" keys for a B102 key today (1999 GMC), and it worked like a champ, appreciate the videos you do man. That little tip really came in handy for a someone who is still learning like myself.

Hey very informative video thanks for sharing…. I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado that I still have my key, but it will not turn….. it had been giving me fits but if I did the little dance and jig with the steering wheel & key it would turn. Well my dad and I just recently did a brake job on it, and went to crank it and no matter what- no luck. I have a couple questions: being I have a key-albeit worn- could it be used as a jiggler key? And if I was able to get it out, could a locksmith make me a replacement key? Better question- be willing to do so? Not trying to be a cheapskate by any means. I just live in a very rural area and a towing fee tears us up…. So I’m just trying to avoid that if possible on my old truck. Any information would be helpful. I appreciate it!

I believe Ive got a sidewall issue. Thinking about replacing the entire Cylinder Lock but came across your Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement/Fix video, where you made a new key and showed the sidewall to slide down. Should replace the Ignition Cylinder Lock or just cut a unprogrammed key to see if the sidewalls slide down?

sometimes there are other electrical problems..i would start by checking the fuses!

Thank you for the Video. Do you know what i am doing wrong? I try to change the Ignition Lock Cylinder since a couple of weeks with no succes. I tyed the 3 times 10 min. procedure but it did not work. I noticed the difference, that in the desciption the Passlock sign stayes 10min on, in my situtaion it is flashing 10 min. I just bourght another blank Key, cut it but the same Problem. Any Idea what i am doing wrong? Regards Nico

Good videos, just one question. When do you need to clone a chip and when not to clone in adding/programming keys?

If you have the original programmed key and the car is not around you can clone it.. or if the programmer doesnt want to connect to the vehicle and its says connection failed.. you can clone his original key... if all the keys are lost you cannot clone the keys because you do not have nothing available to clone.. like i said must have the original programmed key present.

true d para mi si..proque tarda mas con el lishi .. y luego y lishi te falto como uno o dos mas cortes... baja la applicacion instacode ... esa te ayuda a calcular el corte porque la puerte te da como 8-9 y el cilindro de incendio te da el codigo completo ..
