Honestly, it's this spinoff that makes it all the harder to watch the scenes where the Kingdom of Falmuth attacks the village and slaughters many of the villagers. You just know that many of the people, especially the children, were killed in the initial skirmish. And frankly, the main story makes this spinoff all the harder to watch, because you know that what is essentially a cute and wholesome spinoff will eventually give way to the events of the main story and Falmuth's attack on the village. Yes, I know that Rimuru was able to revive everyone in the end, overthrow Falmuth, and replace it with the puppet state of Farmenas, but seeing their bodies all laid out in the streets, and friends and family weeping over the deaths of their loved ones, it almost makes it too hard to watch. You can't help but ask yourself, how cruel can someone be to want to destroy a community that simply wants to hold a plethora of festivals, eat good food, make merry, and live life in peace and tranquility? And the worst part is, it makes me scared that we are going in this direction in real life.
