The thing about Kong is whenever he fights, he displays some kind of emotion. In the Wartdog fight he was a little worried until he broke that dog in half. When he fought the Drownviper, he was suprised. When he fought Skar and Shimo, he was pissed and scared. Whereas Godzilla does not convey any emotions during his fights. Both are unique in their own ways.

In the fight against the wart dogs he wasn't scared, we see him smiling at the beginning of the scene when he sees that he managed to attract several of them while running 0:01.

I say Godzilla does portray some emotion. Sadly it's completely overshadowed by all his unyielding rage. It really shows when G man doesn't have to actually worry about being on Demon time. It's also why he's such a great fighter, he emotes after all the fighting is done and goes for the kill all the time.

If movie critics had their way we'd never have this masterpiece of Kong action. They can ditch all the humans and story and just have Kong being Kong for 2 hours. They let Godzilla just go around being an ultimate badass the whole time, and Kong basically did the same thing with only a minor injury they took care of real fast. Just good 90's style fun where two established badasses are just whooping ass the whole time.

Love how Kong was portrayed in this movie. You can tell he's just really built different compared to the other great apes including Scar King. The other apes seemed more like a nuisance rather than an actual threat. The way he held Scar King up by the neck just really showed how much more powerful he is if it came to just beating the fuck out of each other in a slugfest. Of course Scar King has to make up with his agility and cunning but seeing how Kong easily beat him when he lost control over Shimo just made me glad Kong is on humanity's side.

I have found some inconsistencies with Kong 's upper left tusk. When he rips the wolf in half he's got a full healthy tooth, then when he tries to eat he's got a broken fang. He shows up at Skar King 's place with the new black metal tooth, then he's back with a normal fang like in the beginning when he's seen breaking Skar King's frozen body.
