This Kong's scale is perfect. He fits right into the frame without turning Naomi Watts into a small white speck. This Kong was made for drama, emotion and human bond. Not the typical blockbuster film. Love it.

I was honestly rooting for Jack during this scene. He could've just been going around looking for Ann the whole time, but he doesn't. Instead he went and found a way to distract and lure Kong away from the people. He was literally about to sacrifice his life by making sure that a giant gorilla with a personal vendetta against him would chase him and only him. That takes balls.

I finally saw the original 1933 King Kong, and my gosh, it was bad😣 Planet eating dinosaurs attacking and eating humans was just dumb enough, but everything else was just... bad. Now, I’ll be fair. It was ground breaking effects for back then, and I’ll respect that. BUT, it seriously does not hold up. I didn’t care, and dare I say, wanted Kong to die in that movie. But in this movie, he has so much more emotion towards Ann, his surroundings, his rivals, and everything. In the original, I honestly couldn’t tell if he was fighting to protect Ann or keep intruders out of his territory. In his movie, you can actually tell why he’s fighting: anger, sadness, territorial, heartbreak. 1933 Kong, I got nothing but him being a tyrant just because he can.

I think the best part about this movie is that Anne isn’t food, Kong also doesn’t see her as a “mate”. He just sees her as a friend and is scared and alone. He wants his friend because he’s confused and afraid of this new world.
@sciencefantastic7 ай бұрын
This Kong is more portrayed as a gorilla, and gorillas are used to close social bounds. Ann was the first thing in years that served as anything close to a companion so his attachment makes sense.

I always knew Peter Jackson’s King Kong was a amazing movie but the bit at 5:42 was when I realised that this movie is more than just a great movie! and it’s not just from what’s going on, it’s from the music being played in the background, the camera angle how it’s in a slightly birds eye view, and in the place it’s set which is New York City and we have a giant Beast chasing Human in a car. Sometimes people forget at that bit that a minute ago, Jack and his crew was in a island called Skull island and people don’t make it out of there alive. But not only did they make it out of there alive and made it back to New York, but King Kong did to. Such a amazing movie is worth watching and making!
