I adored Power Miners as a kid. Everything about it was pure, unadulterated awesomeness, from the vehicles to the monsters. I was really sad when they stopped selling them, because even with all the new stuff we've gotten, Power Miners still holds up incredibly well.

I love all the little rock monsters. I hope they'll come back to this series some day and add some new sets to the line. They could reuse the same molds of the little ones and just add more colors and designs. The larger ones could benefit from a new design with more points of articulation, as Lego could really improve in that area with their big figs. Thanks for sharing!

Everything about it was great, the vehicles looked cool, the minifigs were cool with unique double sided faces, and everything had cool working action features.

Great video just2good! I had the original Rock Raiders Rock Monster, along with all the small Power Miners Rock Monsters, as well as the large red Power Miners Rock Monster. A friend of mine had the Crystal King Rock Monster and that was a cool model. LEGO should make more Power Miners or Rock Raiders as they were both awesome themes!

I always wanted to get at least one of these sets as a kid, but as I had to choose between two small/medium sets or one large set as a birthday present, and they were around the same time as the Atlantis and Pharaoh’s quest sets were out I always ended up choosing to get one of those sets rather than a power miners set… Luckily I’ve just ordered Firox and Glaciator on Bricklink, as I was already getting other pieces and needed to get over the minimum buy price of the store and saw them.

I just started collecting the PM. Funny thing is that I've got this "rare" big red guy twice becouse I received some incomplete sets as a bonus, but I don't have the big yellow guy yet (no, not the giant king yellow guy, the standard big one).

As a kid I loved the look of the little rock monsters. I can remember my brother had the dark trans green one and the Crystal King. I'm kind sad lego discontinued this wave, I can fondly remember looking in a lego catalogue as a kid and I was in awe with how cool the sets looked.

i like the rock monsters better than the lava monsters because they look more solid and tougher. the lava monsters look like their always stubborn and erupt their lava when they get angry. the rock monsters look more like someone you don't wanna mess with in a fight
