My birth mother had me in the Philippines and we were poor even for a third world country. She was financially unstable and my birth could’ve killed her. They suffer from a lot of physical, mental and sexual abuse which gives them a life full of trauma and mental disorders like depression, ptsd. My Aunt was pregnant with a child who would have either died during the birth or lived a painful life and not lived past 25. She was given the choice to abort and she took it, to prevent a child from experiencing pain and suffering. That child didn't live. That child didn't die. That child existed, and was saved from either a painful life or painful death because at that point in time, she was able to abort. We don't count kids ages from their point of conception, we count it from birth. I know that if my unborn cousin could have chosen, she would have agreed with my aunt, because no one wants to live a painful and horrible life that ends with early death.

If it actively endangers the mother, then medical intervention and council should be provided. But its the mothers decision to make that choice. All lives matter, which include the life of said mother. Thus, if in a negative environment and without the financial support to raise a child, that denies the basic human rights of both mother and child. And since most employers do not hire single mothers as easily, adoption centers do not guarantee a live but only what is necessary to survive, and fostercare homes have a tendency to become unsafe or violent. This is why the education of sex ed, life, medical, and environmental awareness and saftey is a NECESSITY. No survivor should be forced to give birth, no child should be expected to give birth, and no matter what- a choice should never be taken away from someone. Abortions should be well regulated, and education should be better spread to avoid such extreme scenarios. In order to make the change, the other side must be heard, step into the others shoes, and discuss the confusing/difficult/and uncomfortable in order to reach an agreement. A fetus is a potential life. You can’t compare that to killing, since the fetus has no memories, no emotions whatsoever. It probably doesn’t know it exists. The woman holding it tho, is a living being with emotions, that should be able to decide about her own life and body, including the clump of cells in her body. A pregnancy is not something you can just go through, it’s hard and not everyone can deal with it. So instead of potentially destroying the life of the woman (and maybe even of her future child, that grows up knowing that it’s unwanted and might grow up without parents and love) destroy the potential life of the fetus as early as possible so it won’t hurt anyone.

Say for some reason they did have a difficult beginning to life though, there have been so many people who grew up in terrible situations who are now happy to be alive and breathing, and have maybe even become successful in life, putting what happened earlier in life in the past. Even though they may still have some trauma, they were given a chance at life and they took it

There are several reasons as to why someone could want an abortion: -Unstable financial circumstances -Being underage -Chance of mortality during birth -Disability Etc… and many women would like to avoid trouble for themselves or that child which is merciful in my mind

You have to realize that if someone was raped, economically unstable, even disabled, they probably cannot provide a stable environment for a child and every child deserves a stable home environment. The child will probably grow up with the pain and suffering and not learning from the parents mistakes because they are slowly drowing in the problems. Kids are expensive and hard to take care of. Realize not everyones ready to take care of another life.

@@beck3377 You do realise that a clump of unborn cells don't realize their being killed? We have 10 billion people on this earth, we can spare a few unwanted unborn clumps. Also the original point made was actually a very well argument. If a parent didn't want a child, it may lead to resentment or mentally harming the kid. Overall, it's healthier for the kid to not be born at all than to grow up a life of potential misery all around them. A lot of people just simply aren't ready for a kid yet. That's a big responsibility, and can potentially change their entire life.

My cousin who was 9 years old was raped and she got pregnant. (Also i’m her cousin so i don’t know all the details) But I think because she was very young the doctor said that she would have a 5% chance of living if she gave birth to the child. And unfortunately the state she lived in banned abortion. So she had to have the child. I just got back home from her funeral. 😭 I miss you Maeve🤍🕊️
