On the one hand, nothing can replace the original theme song. However, not only did they use the short time to effectively display Mac's engineering skills, but they make sure to use the classic theme as a jump-off point for the new, generic, yet still pretty epic theme song. Best. Modern TV Reboot opening. EVER.

I think season 4 has the best one. The whole thing really went downhill after Jack left the crew. Mac and jacks buddy moments really kept the series entertaining.

This revamp sucked!! It was nothing like the original. Macgyver never really had a team with hime to get out of sticky situations. He used ingenuity and wits! Plus, this remake lacked the iconic themesong! That is why this show didn't last long.
