I remember playin this game for the first time and seeing Samus change over time. It was eery seeing her become so powerful and so close in resemblance to Dark Samus. Best Christmas ive had in years. I really hope this game comes to switch with a remaster. I will 100% run through it again bc why the fuck not?!

I remember playing Prime 3 for the first time and getting chills when I saw that Samus' face and eyes changed because of the corruption. It was not a detail I expected to see.

those are great points, also as a fun fact of the devs, they thought of a fourth corrupted model of Samus, where the phazon inside of her was almost absolute (like when she is on phazee just worse) and al the suit took on a darker color, truly getting to be an carbon copy of Dark Samus

I find myself appreciating the PED suit in this game more and more as time goes on. Has to be one of the coolest suits in the series, at least in the way it drastically changes throughout the game. Moreso than any other suit shes ever had.

The PED Suit was pretty slick considering that it incorporated both Chozo and Galactic Federation tech. Put in the Space Pirate tech, and while silly, it showed Samus using all three techs to complete her mission. That said, The PED Suit while being able to use Phazon weaponry, is also inferior to even that of the Phazon Suit in Prime 1. Dark Samus had proven that after she implanted Phazon into Samus. The Self Generating Phazon grows by corruption. And the more the Phazon, the worse Samus gets. Every time Samus would defeat an overpowered Phazon powered enemy, it gives off high levels of Phazon that exploded that hit Samus that only made the Phazon in Samus grow stronger. It gave Samus more power, but it puts her body in danger while in Hypermode. Staying long in Hypermode causes her to go into Corrupt Hypermode state, in which she has to expel all the energy out of her body or keep it at by until 25 seconds have past for her suit to auto vent out of Hypermode. Anymore and Samus would die of terminal corruption and what's left of her is another body for Dark Samus to take. Samus in the Phazon Suit at least can handle Phazon in its blue state. And while the suit needs Pure Phazon for the Phazon Beam, it provided protection against Phazon of that caliber. Once Samus stepped onto Planet Phaaze, Samus was seriously in trouble as all the Phazon around her on the planet flowed into Samus's PED Suit and locked her into a permanent Corrupt Hypermode state, in which Samus was forced to use all her Energy Tanks to vent the Phazon out and keep it at bay. And Samus would have to end Dark Samus before she succumbed to Terminal Corruption. The PED Suit was cool as it allowed Samus to use Phazon Weaponry, but its flaws were apparent as the Phazon implanted in Samus was ultimately there so Samus could fall to Dark Samus via Terminal Corruption. The three hunters who worked with Samus, Rundas, Ghor, and Gandrayda ultimately fell to Phazon Sickness, no longer able to resist the power of Phazon. And they were absorbed into Dark Samus's being. The PED Suit was a cool, but one time thing for Samus to use until she successfully defeated Dark Samus once and for all and had all the Phazon expelled out of her body.
