I WAS JUST THINKING THAT! That was so fucking smooth even though it seems so blatant now, holy heck. Getting this excuse to rewatch the beginning of the series is such a good way to pick up on all the things I never would've realized the first time around! And there are so many things scattered around that never really stood out to me initially, even if it's just small character building details, which just pop out on this rewatch, it's honestly amazing. Definitely worth rewatching this series with fuller context.

Not sure if you'll see this, but the orbit is the part of the skull that houses the eyes. The orbital floor is the lower part of that housing. Orbital floor fractures are actually a fairly common result of blunt trauma to that area of the face. The orbital floor in adults is actually made up of what is initially two bone plates that fuse together to form that part of the skull. The severity of Aizawa's injury wasn't simply that his was fractured, but rather how many pieces it was fractured into.
