That emotional connection and the thought that someone actually cares for him mentally pushed Endeavour out of Todoroki’s mind, making him use his fire

You can really tell that the author hadn't thought Todoroki's backstory out much at this point. That or he overestimated people's willingness to go 'there has to be more to this' rather than just jumping on the hate wagon for Endeavor. Todoroki's reveal as being a massively unreliable narrator later on came way too late for most people to ever change their stance on things, and the general low level of media literacy most people have means they don't analyze the shit going on around all the points that make them go 'Endeavor bad.' He's still a shitty father, but god *damn* do some people paint him as the biggest villain in the series.

i hate how they talk like being quirkless is rare as shit when they said from the start that 20% of the population is quirkless, that's alot

something to keep in mind, most people inherit the quirks of their parents, and quirks used to be less common, meaning most of those 20% are probably much older people than deku. someone in deku's age range without a quirk is probably quite rare in the grand scheme of things. when he was a little kid he seems to be the only one who was quirkless in his class

Because being born quirkless is getting more rare the 20% without quirks are probably from 1 or 2 generations ago.

There's a 50-year gap between All Might's generation and Deku's. All They're saying is that fewer Quirkless people are being born with every generation. And Deku's probably considered an oddity, considering both his parents had Quirks.
