I think MI5 was the key movie in the entire franchise. 1 It led to a continuity of a villian probably the best and a paradigm shift in story telling. Until now, it was more of action. 2 It introduced Rebecca Ferguson, probably the best female lead of the entire series. 3 It had Jeremy Renner. 4 It had some cool action sequences starting with the plane one.

1. MI6 (10/10 one of the best action films ever made) 2. MI7 (9.5/10 small plot holes, but absolutely brilliant overall. great score, great addition of Haley Atwell, etc) 3. MI5 (9/10 when the series goes from fun to brilliant. 15 minutes too long, but almost perfect otherwise) 4. MI4 (8.5/10 series has been revived. insane stunts, good humour, Ethan Hunt becomes better defined) 5. MI1 (8/10 classic and artsy; the prettiest looking film of them all and impressive for mid 90s) 6. MI3 (7/10 underrated; great fun, but the shaky cam, choppy editing and simplistic plot detracts a little) 7. MI2 (4/10 the only weak film in the franchise; cheesy; has not aged well; poor villain and main actress weak. has some fun moments, not completely a waste of time; but definitely weakest) Still. Arguably the best action franchise ever!

The first mission impossible was a rating PG, then the second one was a rating 15. From Mission Impossible 3, the film rating is a 12/12A which I think is a suitable rating. So far, I have seen mission impossible 3, fallout and the most recent. I love to watch the first two, four and five films.

Fallout was far better than MI-7. They took long time for making MI -7 but they can't fulfill our expectations. Anyway eagerly waiting for MI DR-2.

Yes. DR1 wasn't a bad film by any means, but it was inferior to Fallout in just about every way. The franchise has had an amazing run - but I'm kind of glad if they're going to end it after DR2, before the quality takes a major dip.

You mean at 11:49, right? Yeah, that's in the movie - but the rope doesn't break, he just slips while he's trying to hook his leg over the skid and then he has to climb back up again.
