I understand Dixie being distraught still about Tad, but I really don’t understand Brooke carrying a torch for Tad. Friendship yes, affection, yes but her great love? Sophisticated, smart Brooke who has loved (and been loved by) much more sophisticated, witty, passionate men than Tad the Cad.

I COMPLETELY agree. I can't fathom why Brooke would fall for Tad TWICE. Tad is immature, a womanizer and cheater. I do commend him for being a great dad. Brooke usually falls for men who are much, much more mature and sophisticated. For Brooke to throw what she had with Edmund away to marry Tad is just beyond my comprehension.
