Amanda does come back alone years later afraid of dogs. Writers decided to forget about Harold & the other dog when Harold died of cancer

Robin Mattson was the best thing that ever happened to Janet. Then those idiot writers brought Kate Collins back and completely destroyed all the progress Janet made by making her crazy again. What a stupid, senseless waste.

Once again, its said that James Kieberd caused so much trouble backstage they just wrote the family out. He was the number one reason Kate Collins left the show, too.

She considered bringing harassment charges against him before she left. Really, I wish AMC had gotten rid of him instead of Kate Collins. She was a lot more valuable to the canvas than he was.

And then Trevor got stuffed in the fridge. This bucks the establishment, as usually it's the women that get stuffed in the fridge.

"If we need someone to be conniving or devious, why not get Arlene?" Oh Hayley, as great as Arlene is in this dept, there were several people in Pine Valley (in April-May of 2000) who topped her! For one, your dad....then there's Erica (who likely tops Adam), David, Vanessa, Palmer and maybe Ryan (definitely not the 2003-2011 Ryan when he morphed into Super Bug Eyes. His "how to spot a con" skills weren't that strong during the second stint)

Janet got so “domestic” towards the end I wasn’t sad to see her go. I know it’s a soap too, but I could never buy Janet and Trevor as a couple. I would be fine if they become civil and hell, even friends. Co-parented Amanda like Tad and Brooke (who were literally the best co-parents in soap history I think).

I completely agree with you. Janet tried to kill Natalie and Laurel, so why would Trevor be interested in her? He wouldn't! He might co-parent with her to be civil, but that's it. I also found "domestic Janet" very boring. The character worked better as an outsider and a conniver. Her redemption wasn't entertaining to me at all. I actually didn't mind that Robin's version of Janet never returned. Kate Collins was more interesting as nutty Janet.

@@grobanworldnews4216 definitely disagree. Janet's redemption was one of the best AMC did in my opinion. And Robin Mattson was and is a great actress. There were points where Janet lost her cool or at least pretended to and I didn't mind that at all. But the nutty cartoon version of Janet that came back years later with her original face, killing Trevor, blowing up a place, trying to kill multiple people in quicksand was stupid and pathetic. I hated that time of AMC, Megan McTavish, Brian Frons, i stopped watching. I would love to see Robin's Janet return to the new series "Pine Valley" so they can undo all the damage McTavish did to her character

@@nothingbutsoaps2674 I couldn't agree with you more.

@@nothingbutsoaps2674 Robin Mattson's Janet tried to blow up Trevor and Laurel's wedding but the writers had to re-do the storyline because of the Oklahoma City bombing. Also, Robin Mattson is living in Florida and is retired from acting. That is why she's no longer playing Heather on GH. I did not personally care for "domestic" Janet and her romance with Trevor. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Wasn't sorry to see her go, either.

@@grobanworldnews4216 Robin released a statement saying GH reached out and asked if she would like to return for a big new storyline involving Heather Webber which would coincide with the show’s 60th anniversary. Robin unfortunately had to decline their offer because she was not only recovering from knee-surgery but also prepping for an upcoming hip-replacement surgery in November. GH then decided to recast and offered the role to Alley Mills. Robin and her husband live in Los Angeles. She isn’t retired from acting.
