I'm 72 years old and started watching All My Children about 60 days after it started but it didn't take long to catch up. I was so taken with all of the stars of this show. And I watched for a long time after that, married in 1973 and she was fan also. No VCR's for a few years yet and I can't remember how I kept up on it. I'm just showing my age !!

It was that kind of show, especially in the beginning. I felt like I was visiting with my friends in Pine Valley every day at noon. I stuck with it for a long time, but didn’t like the over emphasis on tycoons as time went on.

Was there ever a sweeter woman than Grandma Kate?
@malexander21473 жыл бұрын
Charita Bauer(Bert) on Guilding Light was sweet.
@comixreadr3 жыл бұрын
@@malexander2147 VERY sweet but she mellowed over the years. She wasn't very sweet when GL first started waaaay back when. She nagged Bill constantly.

@@comixreadr Right! Even "Papa" called her on it. I sometimes wonder why part of the reason why Bill drank heavily was because it was a coping mechanism.

@@comixreadr Oh, yes. Before the "meek" life, she was heavily into social climbing!

What I loved about Kate is that she wasn't a busybody and she loved Joe enough to let him and Ruth have their own fun private lives. She also had her Friends ie Millie when Liza found out about Tad and her Mother.

This was not the main opening but a montage of the long closing theme from 1970 - 75. I’m glad you kinda like it.😎

What group or orchestra played the Music for this theme?
@rhsharp Жыл бұрын
I think it was Charles Paul.

This was a time when real creativity in writing was necessary for those scripts. It was thoughtful storytelling, not like all the ghetto garbage on tv today. I only watch old tv shows. Nothing new or modern is worth the electricity or battery power to watch.

@RobertSharp I would like to request more All My Children episodes especially the ones originally aired in 1977. Can you please send me a reply via KZbin?
@rhsharp2 жыл бұрын
Nicole, I wish I could but I don’t have any episodes from that time. You can find quite a bit of AMC on KZbin though.

What happened after Erica slept with the Doctor? Was he her mom's boyfriend?
@marcusj46413 жыл бұрын
Nick Davis wasn't a doctor, and he wasn't Erica's mother's boyfriend. He was an old friend of hers. Kind of like play siblings.
@laminage3 жыл бұрын
@@marcusj4641 Yes, and she would chide him about going over to The Brents to see Phillip. By today's standards it would have been questionable. I don't think Mona knew that Nick was Phillip's Real Father.
